moropusThe previous tenant lost the deposit and the next one moved in without having to put one down for reasons that I will now explain.
Madame smoked in there so much it looked like there had been a small house fire.
No, really. And I don't care if you smoke. Those aren't my lungs. I've worked around so many noxious chemicals I can't claim the higher ground by saying I'd never do anything so bad to myself. Besides, which, I eat too much junk food, think alcohol is good for pain and never exercise. But damn. The landlord said this woman's doctor told her to cut it out, so she would light cigarettes and just leave them burning to smell them like incense. I know him as well as the new resident.
So they had to leave all the doors and windows open for days in the dead of winter to get rid of the smell and now we are painting. We started out with 3 painters and are up to 5. Wahoo.
