if folks are looking for @pillow-priestess , it got nuked due to someone reporting it overnight. I might make a new blog just to store my writings, but for now, if you want to see most of my stuff, I’ve been located on bsky for a good while. writings can be found under my pinned post, and art and commissions will be either in my media tab or posted by their respective artists.

What really perplexes me about the Dungeons & Dragons diehard crowd is that there's a certain segment who fully recogise that D&D structurally "wants" to be a totally different game from what a lot of people are using it for, and further recognise that foisting the responsibility for closing that gap between the experience of play the game wants to produce and the experience of play the group wants to have entirely on the GM is tremendously stressful and labour-intensive, but think that's a good thing because a Real Man should be willing to suffer for their art.

i dislike it when someone is facing obviously disproportionate scrutiny for their actions because they are trans or Black or so on and people immediately leap to focusing on defending their actions and litigating the specifics, which cedes the implicit point that if they really did Do The Thing the response they are facing would be justified and often—unless their innocence is actually watertight—presents an extremely easy way for an interlocutor to score points on you while at the same time not meaningfully addressing the double standard
