Before they were Pythons
I don't know how many of you are familiar with Do Not Adjust Your Set or At Last the 1948 Show (the two programs in which members of the Python troupe wrote and performed just before joining to create MP), but I just got my hands on the Do Not Adjust Your Set DVD and felt like I had to share this little clip with you. The first bit with the band (including Neill Innes!) kills me dead. The looks on Mike and Eric's faces are too funny, but I break down into a fit of giggles at Terry J every time!
In any case, I highly recommend these simply as a good bit of Python history. You can certainly see a lot of inspiration for what would become the template for Pythonesque humor in these, even if they are still following an older "30 seconds and a punch line" formula, as Terry describes it.
