There are so many things I could say here, but I'll try to stick to the basics:
I'm twentysomething (and don't update my profile often!). I have a BA in Biological Sciences. I teach science at a charter school. It's crazy, stressful, time-consuming, and wonderful. Much to my surprise, I met the love of my life Halloween 2009. We were married May 2010.
I'm an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I mention religion-related things semi-frequently in my LJ, since they are part of the natural rhythm of my life. Sometimes I attempt to explain what I'm talking about, but if I don't, or you don't get it, feel free to ask. I like answering questions, as long as they're not accusatory. I hope you'll return the favor and answer my questions about you and your beliefs.
I am pro-woman, pro-family, and pro-life. I am anti-hate and anti-namecalling. I like to hear people's points of view, and my philosophy is that there are intelligent, rational, and caring people on almost any side of any debate. If you don't believe that, you'll have to work hard to convince me you're one of those people.
I believe that there are many shades of grey in life situations, but that there are such things as absolute truth. I believe science and religion are perfectly compatible, but that we're still missing a lot of pieces from both parts of the puzzle. That doesn't keep me up at night.
I like to hang out with my friends, crochet, read books, do puzzles and play games of many sorts. I like to be happy, although life doesn't always work out that way. I'm still learning and growing emotionally, intellectually, socially and spiritually. I hope to never stop.
I post very sporadically here. More and more of my entries are friends-only, and I'm not going to friend you unless I have some idea who you are. If, for some bizarre reason, you want to friend me... knock yourself out!
