I'm a cheerful, geeky Christian mezzo with two cats, a moderately tedious clerical job, and an enthusiasm for baroque and early music bordering on the obsessive. I run a website on behalf of the tenor Charles Daniels, and consequently spend a fair chunk of my spare time trying to keep track of his concerts. It's not that he's unwilling to send me information; it's just that he's so overworked that it's normally quicker to Google.

I also translate mediaeval/Renaissance Italian poetry when I can get my hands on any; enjoy cooking and baking (organic/vegetarian); do rather a lot of sewing, and am in the process of branching out into designing my own clothes, since I have one of those figures that looks perfectly all right but is a subtle nuisance to fit; and go zooming round all over the country on trains, given the fact that my family and friends mostly live at a distance and I go to as many of Charles' concerts as I can reasonably afford. If you go and listen to him, you will understand why. :-)

Oh, and I own a rather lovely recumbent bicycle. All my bikes have had names. This one is Gloria. Don't ask me about her unless you are a committed bike nut, or I will probably bore the socks off you. ;-)
