Mark Allan is at first glance a normal human being, an average eighteen year old young man if you discount the tiny nanite robots in his bloodstream. They can create a sort of subdermal armor (basically lava skin) which gives him superhuman strength and the ability to throw lava as a ball shape. Hence the second name of 'Molten Man'. Other than that, completely normal human as he is currently unable to will the changes thus far to human and superhuman.

Or as normal as a teen with gambling issues, supervillains, gangsters and oh yeah a guy who dresses in red and blue spandex wih a spider motif I 'normal'.
