Aren't you fed-up with garbage, full-of-shit sites where nobody actually communicates, such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter? Do you wish your old friends who've migrated to those sites would return to LiveJournal? The the_lj_revival community has been set up with that aim in mind, and you are invited to join it. If you are already on LiveJournal and still have a Facebook profile, and would like to see more people returning to LJ or setting up accounts here, we invite you to post a link to this community on your Facebook Timeline. If you would like to find out who is still using LiveJournal and make contact with those who are already here, you are invited to copy and paste the 'about me' questions on the profile page and post them with your answers to the community.

New Blog

I don't know if there are any old friends of Mockingbird Lane out there in LiveJournalLand that still do all this, so if you're out there... hopefully this shows up in your feed.

M.L. has been disbanded for a while now, but I still record and perform. I even still do stuff with Blizz. (Stop by and check out the video for "Fear The Dead") I got a new blog out you can check up on to get filled in. Check it out here: http://HardcoreOkieBoy.blogspot.com

Hope to see you around.

New Group

I know I never use this LJ anymore... but I started a new group.

So go and join the group now. Right now I mainly use it to list my product I got for sale. It's good to use as links from MySpace and such. But I might do more with it later. It looks lonely though with no one on the friends list.

IMPORTANT UPDATE!!!!

MOCKINGBIRD LANE UPDATE!!!

A lot has happened in the past few years and there has been little contact from me to most of you. A few things have happened in my life making it difficult to do music. I'm changing that. Look forward to a lot more coming from me in the next year. My house was robbed and I lost a lot of my music, but I am finding more of it all the time as I clean and search through old files. Look forward to several releases including a disc of old acoustic demos and a disc that will collect all the songs released on different compilations, plus a few bonus tracks. I also hope to start recording a solo cd soon of my acoustic country/folk/punk thing. So look forward to that. I had a small chapbook of poetry, lyrics and photos ready, but my old computer died... I hope to find a way to recover the files and get that released too. It may be through a friends indy book press or through Zombierot... as of yet un-decided. My wounds have healed and I have been playing guitar everyday for the past month. I will be moving soon and hope to meet new people to put together a live line-up for the band as well as maybe joining some other projects. I'll keep everyone updated on all of this as it happens as well. Basically I just wanted to let everyone know... I may have been down, but I'm not out. You will be seeing some things out this year. Stay tuned.

Shawnee celebrates with 'Boo on Bell Street'

On Saturday, Downtown Shawnee will celebrate Boo on Bell Street at various downtown locations.

The downtown area will transform into an old-fashioned fall carnival. Children and adults will be treated to activities such as Trick-or-Treat Main Street, hayrides, Spirit Walk of Shawnee, Snoopy's Dog Fest, Monster Mash Costume Contest, and the Farmer's Market Twilight Zone Carnival.

Bell Street will be shut down and events have been planned along the street.

Hayrides will be offered to shuttle people from one end of Bell to the other. Performing on center stage will be fiddler Shanda McDonald, who has played in Branson.

At the carnival, several game booths are planned, including "Poison Apple Pick" and "Boo Bounce." Food booths will offer Indian tacos, barbecue, hot chocolate, cotton candy and more.

T-shirts and Family Ticket Packs are for sale at Uncommon Threads. They also will be sold at a booth on Saturday.

Following is the schedule of events:
