I am trying to make the Ultimate Hanson survey. . . I need help with questions. . . anyone have extra or interesting question for me to add it. I would greatly appreciate. Once I am finished which I am hoping to be by December 1st.. . .I will post the survey for the fans to do.

If you haven't heard, Geocities is closing on October 26, 2009. Geocities has played an important role in the history of the Hanson fandom. On Fan History Wiki, we want to help chronicle the history of this fandom on Geocities before it is lost forever. We'd love to have you involved.

We've created some stub articles at Hanson fansites on Geocities. There isn't much there, especially when you think about the whole of Geocities and how important Geocities was to the Hanson fandom. We'd really want to see the few existing articles improved to give a better idea of what role they played early in the fandom's history and for the fandom's history off LiveJournal. Just click edit, write in relevant information and then click save. You can't screw it up. (It's a wiki. Things are incredibily easy to fix if you're worried.) If you're feeling really helpful, please use Template:fansitesgeocities to create new articles so that we can get the history of more Geocitie's Hanson fansites saved.

Even if you aren't editing, please pass the word along to others in the fandom. Ask them to help us. Ask them to visit Geocities to just save those sites on their hard drives. If you're a fan fiction reader, check out some of those stories from the fandom before they disappear potentially forever.

Finally, all money raised that does not go directly into creating the ad (be it extra money, or if we don't make enough for the ad) will be donated to the Prenatal HIV Research Unit (PHRU) at the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Soweto, South Africa. There will also be a note of this in the ad, as well as contact and donation information if Billboard readers also want to contribute.

Okay, so I'm doing this project to hear every Hanson song I haven't heard before and make 2 or 3 CDs of the essential songs that reflect what Hanson means to me. (Yeah, I tried to cut it down to 1 CD - that wasn't happening!)
So I'm not really worried about newer bootleg stuff because I've heard most of it (I think?)

but I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get old versions of MmmBop like the Dust Brothers Mix, The Hex Mix, (is the Hex Mix the same as the Techno Mix? no, it's not is it?) and also other versions of Weird... I heard there were 6 versions... but I especially want to get a copy of the MoVo version (a.k.a. The Video version... coz it's diff on the video than it is on MON.)

I'm just having a completely rainy, boring day made a little bit better by trying to completely immerse myself into Hanson music and it's hard to do that fully because while there are tons of sites with their entire discography including unreleased tracks...I don't know where to go to learn about/find/download different versions of their songs.

So is anybody in the "Fanson" community still a music buff aficionado in that regard, or do we all just make stencil handbags with stereos and shit on them now?

Oh, P.S. a friend had me listen to a song called "High on You" who she says is by Hanson... but it doesn't sound like them. Does anybody know anything about the song?
