Since 2007, Natty Boom has worked as a DJ and performance artist oriented by ingenuity, community and justice. Boom was inspired to begin DJ’ing as a Co-Founder of Girls Rock! DC, a music education non-profit that creates inclusive space for girls to develop their self-confidence and rock out. To build upon her knowledge of sound engineering and creating DJ sets, Boom also hosted a radio show, “Doing it In the Park,” on Radio CPR 97.5fm in Washington DC.

Spinning music that ranges from Global Booty Beats, Tropical Bass, International Pop, House and Hip-Hop, Boom has played at diverse venues such as The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, DC’s 9:30 Club, The Howard Theatre, Black Cat and across the Mid-Atlantic Region and Lima, Peru. Natty Boom is also 1/4 of the all-lady DJ Crew, Anthology of Booty, which creates unique and welcoming social spaces throughout the DC Area.
