DJ / dance facilitator, Joanna Cashman aka Auntie JoJo has been facilitating ecstatic dances for over 30 years. She is a certified facilitator of Dancing Mindfulness and resident DJ at Coalessence Ecstatic Dance in Eugene Oregon. She has co-founded dances in Bend, OR, Tucson, AZ and Olympia, WA. Her ecstatic dance roots grew out of the seminal soil of the “Dance Free” community in Cambridge. She was mentored by ecstatic dance pioneer, Allison Binder-Marshak. As a certified Dancing Mindfulness facilitator she is known for music sets that draw from all genres, time periods and cultures. Her multi-generational mixes invite you to liberate your whimsy, creativity and move a full range of human emotion into expression. She holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Dance from Arizona State University.
