DJ SoulQuest's music is a blend of Afro Cuban, Brazilian, Latin, Jazz, Tech, and Urban Funk. It's melodic flavor and driving beats are best described as the "sensual groove." Born and raised in New York, DJ SoulQuest has always had a passion for music. His earliest influences were Latin, Motown, Funk, R&B, Jazz, Hip-hop, and Electronica. He was twelve years old when he purchased his first Technics SL-1200 turntables.
Over the years he began mixing the music of Afrika Bambatta, Herbie Hancock, and other artist. It was listening to the DJ's the Latin Rascals, C&C Music Factory, and Masters at Work when he he realized his calling. Armed with a pair of turntables on hand and stacks of vinyls, SoulQuest has been spinning for local parties around town.
