Michael's career spans live performance, broadcasting, education, and community leadership-brought together in a welcoming, audience-first approach to music. As a broadcaster he has always been passionate about music programming and honed his skills as producer of CBC Stereo's award-winning DiscDrive with Jurgen Gothe, and then as music director and host of his own programs on Classical FM in Toronto. Michael is thrilled to be back mixing it up for your listening pleasure with his one-man radio station TheLyons Den Radio. The Lyons Den continues the tradition of classic long-form radio, blending music, literature and thematic storytelling. In addition, Michael spent the first decade of his career as an assistant professor of music at two Canadian universities. He founded La Jeunesse Youth Orchestra which he proudly conducted for 20 years.
