I make beats, remixes, blends & 90's hip hop compilations.
For my Phat Tapes, I have edited every track on to some degree (adjusting sound levels, shortening hooks, reducing noise, adjusting tempo, etc.) and even made instrumentals out of songs that did not have official instrumental versions available. I like to also include instrumentals at certain points during the compilations to fit as many songs in and add to the overall atmosphere of that year, and as a freestyle break. A simple cross fade is applied between tracks. I try to showcase tracks from the east, west, south and midwest to take you back in time to each year in hip hop. I spend many hours editing all of these tracks so to me these are much more than simple playlists. I do this because I love digging through albums and editing all of the classic tracks from these great artists and sharing them with others who appreciate good hip hop.
