In May 2013 my brother Rangi “Rangsta Boogie” Harris passed away. He was a legendary DJ & dancer in the Sydney scene.

I’d met him later in his life & he'd tell me about his DJ exploits & even that he was DJ’ing the clubs that me & my friends used to go to.

He loved music & sharing music (compiling CD's for everyone) & was always putting me on to great stuff I hadn’t heard before. We'd often talk about music we loved from 'back in the day', particularly New Jack Swing stuff.

I told him how I always wanted to make mixes & he was was super supportive of the idea. I started messing around with “editing” mixes together on software & he was always keen to hear them even though they weren't very good.

When he died it made sense to me that one way I could remember him & honour his memory was to bite the bullet, get some DJ gear & start making mixes to share music I loved just like he always would. So, I did.
