In Meet Me In Five, Learning disabled people give listeners a window into their lives by talking about the five songs and musical experiences that mean the most to them. Interviewed by Carousel Radio presenters Fran and Claire, guests will recall the people, places and events that have impacted their lives, and the music that was in their lives at these times.
Meet Me in Five is also broadcast on Brighton and Hove's community station, Radio Reverb.
Meet Me In Five is produced by learning disability arts charity, Carousel. Carousel challenges ideas of what great art is, and who can create it.
Carousel brings learning disabled and autistic artists together, giving them a creative platform where they can tell their stories, learn new skills, grow confidence, make friends and succeed as artists. We’re here to provide a bridge between people with a learning disability and the wider community, ensuring their creativity can be valued and celebrated.
