La Tique is the founder and an active member of the netlabel Cybermusique Potsdam, under which he also organizes events. Born in 1979 in Potsdam (near Berlin), he began experimenting with music in 1997. His journey took him from trance and minimal techno to Latin house, while developing his own style. Formerly known as DJ Tick, he now produces and performs exclusively under the name La Tique – a step towards musical self-discovery. The name reflects French influences and personal aspects. His role models include Daft Punk, Autotune, Einmusik, Vitalic, as well as the German icons DJ Hell and WestBam. Since 2003, his style has shaped electrotechnopop – a blend of everything that musically appeals to him.
