Grit Rock is an eclectic, freeform, no-talk, music podcast focusing on cult classics, critically acclaimed music of the rocknroll canon, Pacific Northwest locals, and something we call the milk bar soundsystem. Our definition of rock is pretty loose, usually we're talking indie, alternative, or college rock, but any genre or era is fair game. (We're suckers for shoegaze, trip-hop, golden era hip-hop, and all the sounds in their peripheral.) We also attempt to make the show a continuous mix by blending songs on the desktop. The variety of styles and the flow between them is what makes Grit Rock different than the typical indie rock/alternative show: it acknowledges rock's history, while finding a place for it in the future.
