105 degree days are one thing, but 105 degree days in NYC are on a WHOLE 'nother level. at least i wasn't riding the subway... [flashback to summer 2003] my subway ride for 3 months to my internship @ CosmoGirl had un-air conditioned cars, my stop was a half mile walk underground [due to construction] with no a/c or vetilation, and it was a Rush Hour sea of sweaty, funky ass bodies..ahh ...this summer, minus "errand day", i only come out in the late evening so it's not too bad....

in other news, i'm falling in deep love with century21 ! brooklyn, jersey, long island and manhattan people into fashion... this is a must visit store. just a warning: in order to shop in the manhattan store, you must have patience, like tight spaces and fighting for clothes. yes kids, it's that serious. the only other one i've been to is in long island and it's lovely :)

july 19th was my 21st birthday :) it was fabulous. i drove home to maryland the night before. on my born day, i woke up and cooked eggs, french toast and bacon with my mom . i missed that woman to death. at night, my mom did it up as she always does with the food... crabs, steak, chicken kabobs, salad, alfredo, french fries, mixed veggies, grilled sausage, grilled corn and more !!! YES... all my favorites! everyone was stuffed, no one was movin or talkin, just rubbing bellys. sometime after that, 3 old girlfriends i hadn't seen, spoken to, or heard about in almost 4 years came by. it was crazy! i thought they were people my mom knew or something-- i had to look twice. lol. after family left, the girls, j and my homeboy all popped a bottle of wine and... a lot more after that!! for some reason, wine taste good now. the ladies and i had a good time chillin and reminiscing on the deck about high school days. i've really grown up a lot over the past 4 years, especially this last year.. and the old stories of my funny crazy self just confirmed that. lol. i'm a lot more mellow these days.

i was invited to the taping of vh1's save the music concert on friday. joss stone, alicia keys, rod sewart, john legend and rob thomas will be there. mariah carey is preforming, too. (i miss the '94 mariah.) she looks.... weird now. and are those implants??
