Because I still have friends here, who I've been terrible at staying in contact with (sorry!), I'm posting my holiday card offer here as well as everywhere else.

Where I've Been, Where I'm Going

As I'm sure very few of you have noticed, I have found myself trickling further and further away from livejournal. There's not a specific reason, but it's happening.

I started a new job last month, and that's eaten into my free time quite a bit. But I always used to be able to fit lj and icon making into a full-time job/full-time school schedule, and I'm not anymore. A lot of my focus has gone into working on my blog lately, and I find myself having a lot of fun there. It's a different atmosphere than livejournal, and I think it's a change that is good for me.

I'm not planning on abandoning livejournal completely, I still check it every so often, but I don't find myself drastically missing it. My paid account and extra icons expired yesterday, and I don't plan on renewing them... the first time in many years that I won't have a paid account. I may start to crosspost my blog posts here, just for a little bit more of a spread, but don't expect a ton of personal posts again, anytime soon.

I will be posting the last icons I made before I stopped, at some point this week. I may eventually go back to icon making, however I make no promises.

New Blog

So I seem to have started a new blog, for things that don't really fit in with what I use livejournal for. Right now there's just an introduction post, but I have another ramble ready to go, and a ton of topics that I'd like to ramble about. If anyone is interested it's at http://mirnell.wordpress.com

I'm always up for suggestions of things to talk about, and anything I post there isn't something that I expect to stay private, which is part of what makes it different from livejournal, since most of my personal posts here are friends-locked.
