As expected from MONSTAR ep 5! This scene made me shiver (in a good way)... and also a bit teary.
The explosion of Cha DoNam's hidden talent and his (past)friendship with Park GyuDong is slowly showing up! ;__;

Anyway, from the preview, I think episode 6 is gonna give me mixed feelings.
Jung SeonWoo is great too, but... GO Yoon SeolChan x Min SeYi! <3

Revealing some realities of being a star, MONSTAR.
The story is enjoyable and I enjoy the music scenes the most. The music scenes are made to be as believable (live) as possible and they blend in very nicely with the storyline, so they appear naturally without being too theatrical or awkward. The presentation and music arrangement are quite modest but very nice and meaningful; their singing voice sounds unpolished (unlike studio-edited voice), simple but decent. I was quite thrilled when I heard JunHyung's singing voice, because he's a rapper, he almost never sings in BEAST's songs but he sings quite a lot in this drama. :D

I expect more lovely music scenes and can't wait to watch the "unexpected duo" in episode 5. ;)

Dad, Where Are We Going?

headpicture

I'm currently in love with this Korean reality show "Appa! Odiga?" ("Dad, Where Are We Going?").
It's a reality show about 5 fathers (all Korean public figures) and their kids who enjoy vacation together. The father and the child had never gone to a vacation with just the two of them, so this time they have a chance to do everything together--the fathers have to take care of the children without the mothers including preparing meals, and the children have to bear going to unfamiliar places faraway from home without their mothers.

It sounds pretty ordinary... BUT NO.
This show is amazingly enjoyable, fun and of course VEEEEEEERY CUTE, it's almost unbearably cute because the kids are sooooo adorable!! (。>ω<。) And since they're kids, they don't fake things. The fathers are also funny!! Especially my favorite actor Sung Dong Il. That ahjussi is the reason why I got interested in the show, but then I fell in love with his son too, Sung Joon. But it's hard not to fall in love with all of the kids, really... all of them are so precious. (´ω`★)

Sung Joon (7 or 8 years old)
Appa 4 pt 3.mp4_000847647appajunsung joon
My favorite pretty boy Joon-aa~ (´∀`) Despite his young age and cute appearance, he's really considerate, cool and mature. Everything he does is graceful. Definitely an elegant and smart young prince. Viewers think he resembles the actor Song Joong Ki. ^^ But when I saw Sung Dong Il's old photos, wow, Joon definitely resembles his own father. x)

Yoon Hoo (7 or 8 years old)
Appa 1 pt 5.avi_000481181Appa 4 pt 2.mp4_000231865Appa 5 pt 2.mp4_000012846
Hoo-ya!! (^Д^) With that round face that resembles Chinese actor Bobo Ho (LOL), Hoo is definitely the mood-maker who always makes people laugh with his innocence. He's a very good eater (you can tell by looking at his chubbiness) but most importantly, he's the sweetest boy ever. He has also shown a pure love for Song Ji Ah.

Lee Junsu (6 or 7 years old)
Appa 1 pt 6.avi_000069369Appa 2 pt 3.avi_000218585Appa 3 pt 1.mp4_000494294
Junsu the 4D goof ball. (≧▽≦) This boy's charm is his loony character. He loves to tease his father with his never-ending not-so-important questions and gets excited by himself. It seems that he loves to laugh because.... well, just because. xD When he's not goofing around, he resembles the actor Kim Soo Hyun.

Song Ji Ah (6 or 7 years old)
Appa 5 pt 3.mp4_000200667Appa 2 pt 5.avi_000585585Appa 4 pt 5.mp4_001373673
A pretty girl with husky voice, Ji Ah is the princess of the group. (◕‿◕✿) Her father is the type who will do everything for her but it doesn't make her a spoiled kid. She listens to her father well and shows loyalty towards him. And why I have the feeling that she will look like After School UEE when she grows up? Or maybe Wonder Girls Sohee. :))

Kim Min Guk (9 or 10 years old)
Appa 3 pt 1.mp4_000503970Appa 3 pt 3.mp4_000308675Appa 5 pt 4.mp4_000198865
The oldest kid of the group, Min Guk. (^v^) Although he's the oldest, he whined and cried the most everytime he got bad luck in a mission. But he sometimes surprised me with his honesty and loyalty. Just when I thought he's a crybaby, he then showed a very admirable side of him and it's touching, really. He's originally a very good boy!

Every episode is interesting and cute, and there's even a love line already between Hoo and Ji Ah. Hahaha. Hoo is the cutest thing ever. And I'm kinda curious about a 'little mystery' since the 1st episode. So, Ji Ah's father asked Ji Ah if there's an oppa that she liked (Min Guk, Hoo or Joon--or Junsu who's born in the same year). Ji Ah said there is someone she liked, but she then whispered the name to his father only. She didn't let his father reveal who's the one she liked. :))))
Well I just want to know if Hoo's mad love for her is unrequitted or not. Lololol. But someone in a forum said that in a certain episode, Ji Ah's father revealed a hint about Ji Ah's favorite boy. He said Min Guk is #3, and Hoo isn't the #1. So it was Joon or Junsu after all?? Hahaha. I'm guessing it's Joon (since he's handsome and charming). It would be totally funny if it was Junsu but who knows. :))) Ah, Hoo-ya... it's OK. Although Ji Ah didn't pick you as #1 at the beginning, I'm sure now her heart has swayed already by your unconditional love. Lolol.

Baby Rocker, Baby Rapper

Do you like kids?
Well some kids surely know how to steal people's hearts--with their innocence and amazing talents.
So, when I watched MNet Voice Kids (Korea) I really got emotional everytime I watched their performances.
"Ah, why are those kids so beautiful and talented"... that's what I thought while shedding tears after they performed...

Buuut I'm not going to talk about kids who made me cry right now (they were a lot, so maybe next time lol).
I just want to share 2 videos of one of my favorite contestants, Jung Sagang, who made me excited and amazed with his rock 'n roll stage!

And I was even happier because he took part in Yoseob's team (BEAST's main vocalist Yang Yoseob who became one of the judges, he's actually the main reason why I watched MNet Voice Kids but in the end my heart fell for the kids too). Yoseob and Seo Inyoung chose Sagang, but in the end the kid chose Yoseob to be his coach. Haha~ Yoseob was a really good talker, he did well at persuading all of those kids to be his pupils. :))))

So! During the 2nd round (Trio Battle Round), Sagang and two other contestants, Eunwoo and Jihyun, had to sing Wonder Girl's "Be My Baby" and Sagang did the rap part. He's great! I mean he's only 9 years old or something around that but he's able to pull off a cool rapping for the first time on stage. :D

Yup, although he had to be eliminated early, but he did awesome during the whole competition. I'm glad Yoseob gave him a chance to learn rap. Even Yoon Sang coach-nim said that he's interested to know what Sagang would be in the next 5 or 6 years (that's the only thing I understood when he commented on Sagang since my Korean understanding level is low hahaha) because Sagang right now is already popular and so on... yes of course because he has solid talents in such a young age. ^^

THAT'S WHY! Yoseob!! OMG Yoseob you should keep an eye on Sagang, be a good hyung who supports him and then suggest him to train in Cube when he's big enough. :DDD
I heard Cube actually had a plan to create an idol-band and the current BtoB was supposed to debut as a band (that's why all BtoB members can play at least 1 or 2 instruments) but Cube cancelled the plan after CNBLUE debuted. xD; *but I'm thankful BtoB debuted as an idol group just like they are now!!*
Sooooo please recruit Sagang and train him to debut in a band!! HAHHAHAHA OMG my imagination.

OK then I'll end my post here..... xD

Emotions. Ballad

Heyaaa. It's a nice Saturday. I'm glad that all of my Saturday plans went well. :)

A few days ago I felt a strange longing feeling towards Kagrra, and so I listen to their songs again recently. It's been a while.
Well, life needs balance, at least to me. And sometimes listening to music is not just about leisure, it's also a spiritual call.
Being able to listen to as many kinds of music as I can and enjoy many songs I've never even liked before--it gives me a fresh feeling towards the beauty of music.

Anyway! This time I'll post two new songs that I enjoy so much!
lynch.'s "Ballad" and MAN WITH A MISSION's "Emotions".
These are the kinds of song that can put you deeply into emotional feelings. :)

What's this?

I don't know why I dropped by here but, well.

I watched "Nobunaga No Chef" which had 2 episodes so far. The main idea of the story is interesting, of course totally unreal, but I feel that it could be dramatically amazing.
The thing is... I don't know, the flow is a bit too rushed? With the setting being in the Sengoku era, and a lot of awesome ancient characters like Oda Nobunaga appearing, it should have been more dramatic, cool and mesmerizing. Well I know this drama is not THAT serious, but still. It was slightly painful to watch the 1st episode, also the early part of the 2nd episode--but it's getting better after about the half part towards the end, so I'm still looking forward to the 3rd episode.

Also, about the main character (portrayed by Tamamori Yuta-kun)..... there's nothing wrong with the character. BUT THAT'S THE PROBLEM. The main character is just flat. Okay, he time slipped from Heisei era and lost his memory but that's all. Nothing attractive about him except his excellence in cooking. I'm expecting a certain twisted character from him. He's just too... 'straight', too positive, if you ask me. Shida Mirai's character is much better, although she's also still far from reality. But because she's exceptionally good at acting, I still have no problem with her.

Well that's all about J-drama. I haven't watched Kindaichi SP and Samurai X although I already had them inside my laptop. There's no subbed version of ATARU SP, so I'm still waiting. And I want to watch Kodomo Keishi (another version of Kodomo Keisatsu!) too.
Recently I get deeply into Mnet Voice Kids (Korea). I watch it because BEAST's Yoseob is one of the judges/coaches, but the kids are reeeeally amazing. They're like angels with angel voice. <3 Most of my favorite kids got eliminated during the 2nd round (trio battle), but well... I still love the show. It's really enjoyable to watch!!

Wow I'm Still Here

This is my first LJ post in 2013.
I have to keep this LJ silent like this because of some changes in my life but sometimes I do check my friends page.
Right now, other than sticking to my new KPop fandoms, I'm still waiting for ATARU SP and Kindaichi SP to be subbed. I also found a new dorama that seems interesting: Nobunaga No Chef starring Tamamori Yuta. He looks so handsome! I think he gets prettier day by day. *.*

Lately I've been listening to various music thanks to my new colleagues. But my personal playlist right now is still KPop mostly. Well it's just my pattern--once I get hooked to a certain fandom, it'll last long until I get tired of it. And it's such a coincidence that I'm hooked to all groups starting with initial 'B'. BEAST, for sure, my eternal favorite group. BIGBANG, like its name, it suddenly gave me explosive excitement for some time but now I'm already calming down (lol). BtoB, one rookie group who completely stole my heart with their talents and fun abnormality which never fails to make me laugh--I have a feeling this group will be my 2nd eternal favorite group after BEAST (Cube stan here!). And one more rookie group that amazed me recently with their strong concept and talent--B.A.P--I'm not (yet) their fan but I gotta admit they're good.

Well.
I've been enjoying my life and my new 3-months-old job in my hometown. It reminds me of my 9-months life in Jakarta last year. Now Jakarta is suffering from flood. :( Hang on there, people! I pray and wish it will end soon. Take care and stay healthy as best as you can. :o

Album: Tribute to L'Arc~en~Ciel

Been listening to this album since yesterday.
Well, a tribute is a tribute.
I'm not going to go as far as comparing the quality to the original musician (which is Laruku), I just enjoy this album for being as it is. :)
Some songs sound totally different with the original one. I was shocked when I heard Clementine's version of my favorite song "Flower", but then, hey--it's creativity! That's the fun part of listening to tribute song. The French lyric gives a quite big impact. On a second thought this version might suit Chobit's image. :3

So far I like Vince Neil's "Blurry Eyes", Boyz II Men's "Snow Drop", Daniel Powter's "Stay Away", TLC's "Rainbow" (Niji) aaaand... Hemenway's "Caress of Venus" grew on me--the trilingual effect is daebak-great-sugoi (yes it contains Korean-English-Japanese language ^^). Ah wait, Totalfat's "Driver's High" and Michael Monroe's "Heaven's Drive" sound fun as well. :D

The others are not bad either. I didn't mention SID's "Shout at the Devil" but doesn't mean it's bad. The impact isn't as great as those I mentioned above; but it sounds pretty nice. Polysics' "Seventh Heaven" is kinda interesting, I must say--cute. On the other hand, Maxi Priest's "Vivid Colors" is totally different! I even forgot how the original song sounds like, while listening to Priest's version. xD

Here is the tracklist (taken from CDJapan):
1.Blurry Eyes/ Vince Neil
2.NEO UNIVERSE/ Orianthi
3.RAINBOW ※オリジナルタイトル「虹」/ TLC
4.HONEY/ Eric Martin, John 5 (Gt)
5.READY STEADY GO/ ZEBRAHEAD
6.snow drop/ Boyz II Men
7.Vivid Colors/ Maxi Priest
8.HEAVEN'S DRIVE/ Michael Monroe
9.STAY AWAY/ Daniel Powter
10.flower/ Clementine
11.SEVENTH HEAVEN -Bonus Tracks-/ POLYSICS
12.Shout at the Devil -Bonus Tracks-/ SID
13.Caress of Venus -Bonus Tracks-/ Hemenway
14.Driver's High -Bonus Tracks-/ TOTALFAT

I had fun listening to the whole album, and still am now. :D
