"When we got to Albuquerque, Rhea came to the production office and she asked for two things on the first day," producer-writer Carroll recalled. "The first was the back of the call sheet that had the names of the crew, and a printout of the whole crew list, so she could start memorizing them. She wanted to know that before day one.
"The second thing she asked for was a meeting with me, the other producers, and the first AD to talk about hours," Carroll continued. "We had a long shoot ahead of us, and we knew we didn't want to punish the crew. She's like, 'I'm No. 1 on the call sheet, and I'm the leader here, and I need to use my power to make sure everybody around me has the ability to do their best work, and we need to be able to sleep to do that.' And we were all on the same page, from Vince on down."
[ID: Six screencaps from Taskmaster. Alex Horne and Joe Thomas stand awkwardly on a bridge, Alex wearing a red helmet with small torches on it. He asks Joe, “Are you gonna stay?” Joe replies, “Oh, well, if I’m allowed to. It’s quite nice up here.” Alex says, “One of us has to go.” Crestfallen, Joe says, “Oh.” Later, in the studio, Joe says, “I don’t know what was wrong at that moment, but something was wrong.” Alex replies, “There was no chemistry, was there?” Joe says, “I will say, it is ambiguous how you were meant to finish.” End ID.]
[ID: Four screencaps from Taskmaster. Amy Gledhill holds up a flip-flop with writing on the sole that reads, "You must give Greg £1 per second of plank." Later, Kumail Nanjiani kneels on the floor of a geodesic dome in a garden. Standing outside the dome, Alex Horne says, "2 minutes 47." Kumail asks, "So that's £247?" Alex says, "No, minutes have 60 seconds in this country." End ID.]
I don't think we give benjamin enough credit for how calm he was when he first met the prophets. The man was handling it like a standard negotiation. Trying to establish lines of communication and open up diplomatic relationship with interdimensional aliens that don't understand the concept of time! All while acting like this was just another tuesday at work.
Started showing my wife Orphan Black last night and god. Maybe it's because I watched in high school but I really did not appreciate enough the fact that Sarah Manning is a Protagonist Of All Time right out of the gate. Amoral ruthlessly resourceful grifter. Absent mom. Willing to chug soap and make herself throw up to maintain a con. Saw a woman identical to her jump in front of a train and leapt straight to identity theft and faking her own death with zero hesitation. Like yeah I'm probably a clone being hunted by a shadowy organization but I got a scam to run so I don't have time for that. Absolutely no notes complete banger of a character.
