I guess I'm kind of cheating on my livejournal now...
I started a new blog on wordpress which is geared towards my experience/journey on active duty as an officer. I'm making it for two reasons. The first is to inform friends and family of what's going on and what I've been doing instead of having to explain it to all of them 5000 times...It allows those that don't always call or check up on me, to still be able to. The second is to give a log/tips of what people coming after me can do to make their journey easier. Being the first person from my detachment facing a lot of new training that the Air force has just implemented...means there aren't a lot of people that know what's going on...

Well Brannon requested an update...so here it is (it's gotta be short because I have to go to bed)
I received my pilot slot from the Air Force so I'll start pilot training sometime after I graduate and get my commission. This means I'll graduate...go to ASBC (Air Space Basic Course) which ever 2nd LT has to do...then I'll go to my base...then to IFS (in colorado springs which is Intro Flight Screening) I basically work on my private pilot's license. After that it's to UPT which is in Texas I think.
Of course I could fail out (which I really don't aim to let happen) so I will have back up plans for Air Force Careers (which I will be working and drawing out in the next weeks) it's a Form 53 in the AF but it's called a "dream sheet" Putting my top choices for jobs/locations to go...and they look at your qualifications ect and decide on what ya get.
Family is doing well, friends well, and Bree and I are doing pretty awesome (I know right!!?!)

It sucked I'll tell you all that...I'll never want to do it again, but I sure am glad I did it...it was a great learning experience, and I met tons of amazing people. It was 27 days of my life that flew by in the end...but every hour there seemed like a day...each day a week...each week a month...It did feel like forever =(. I'm so glad its over and to be back home, with Bree, Family, and all my friends...but I already miss all the great people I met there =(...But oh well!
here's to learning a lot about myself...and becoming a much better person because of it...I'm an Air Force ROTC POC now...HOOOOOAH!

Christmas...Such a wonderful time...and for good reason!...To celebrate the birth of Christ!
I fricken love Christmas...like hardcore love it...I love the Christmas spirit, the symbolism for Jesus, of religion, the family, the togetherness, the christmas trees, the giving of presents to those you love/care about, Christmas lights, SNOW!!! (hopefully), the music, the food, the drinks, the fricken everything.
I'm more in a spirit then I have ever been...It's probably mostly in part to how damn happy I am because everything in my life is amazing...but...I'm a lucky man=)
I cant wait this year...even though Bree is going to be out of town which sucks major hardcore...so no Christmas with her family or her around to be with mine. We spent all thanksgiving day with out families...From 12-4 with hers...then 6-9 with mine...It was a great time...but none of that for christmas =(. Even though that is occuring I am still quite excited.
But this is just the appetizer of many posts in a row to come!!! OOOOHHHH SNAPS!

"Happiness" is a huge thing I like to think about and try to analyze.
Happiness is derived from multiple things, success, (money in some peoples eyes), Family, friends, love...ect
It really just boils down to...Are you happy with who you are and what/who you're around...If you know exactly who you are/what you want in life..and who you want around you..It'd be far easier to be happy. Now finding those exact things are the hard part...this is that unhappy time...trial and error...Like dustin said...to every up is a greater or equal down...But eventually one should be able to read a very high high...Course I'm on that Very high high, so i haven't experinced an equal or greater low...so I am bias
I am sourrounded by friends in all walks of life that share common interest in one thing or another...I have several best friends (which I'll touch on later)...I'm in love with an amazing and beautiful woman...Who treats me like I'm a king! I love school, my friends, my family, my future career...So how can I not be happy? I see how bright the future is...and I go for it all...that's what makes me happy
AS for best friends...Example..Kyle and I...I'd die for the kid...plain and simple...we've been best bro's since 6th grade...I might not see him every day or even talk...but we always know where the other stands in relation to our friendship. Best friends grow apart over the years due to exactly what kyle said...That and people do GROW they grow up, mature...and move on...you establish new friends more catered to your current persona...ect...but I still will always be best friends with him...We wont ever lose those times we had...so thus we have that bond.
So its all just about becoming an adult...finding who we are...and being happy with that
