i know ... it's been a while, but i haven't really had anything to write about since i got the new job. 6 months later and i'm writing to tell you that i'm going full time at work. i've been in retail for 12 years and this is the first time i've been full time. i applied for the counter managers possition but did'nt get that. however the managers told me they're really happy with me and they're making me full time and i should get the management possition for the next new store. so needless to say work is going well.
the only problem is i may have to give up running the bar trivia now :(
i got a new job. just thought you might like to know. after 11 years working at kmart and getting nowhere i finally got a new job. i was meant to have 2 weeks holiday but on monday (the first day of my holidays) my old boss from kmart called me and offered me a job at jb hi-fi. for those of you who don't know jb is an electrical store selling everything audio-visual. didn't need an interview since i'd already worked for the same boss. worked all day yesterday and today i'm heading off to melbourne for a few days to visit my brother. fly back on monday arvo and work again on tuesday. so much for time off.
last night was a big night at trivia. i told everyone they had to come in and help me celebrate my birthday and we ended up with 19 teams (twice the normal number). half way through the night 2 of the girls who work there came out with a shot of something with a crunchie on top with a candle in it. they stole my microphone and made the whole pub sing happy birthday to me. then of course i got shitfaced, which is expected.

long time no see. how are we all today? been busy with work, but looks like that may have died off till at least easter. heading off to visit my brother in melbourne in about a month. tuesday night trivia is going well. since we've had more people turning up the pub has decided to up the prize pool. hopefully that'll help get even more people in. so if anyone is bored and doing nothing on a tuesday night come to the royal inn, station street, waratah. or don't, either way. i guess thats it for me for today. have fun, be safe.
i didn't end up spending christmas day alone after all. i went to a friends house for lunch with her family. however boxing day will be spent alone ... unless someone wants to come and watch the cricket with me.
