Eeehhh... this place is dead. Defect to metal_community?

Geeeeez! So it looks like life finally caught up to everyone.

Nevertheless, everyone needs to go pick up the debut album by American/German Death Metallers, DEATHEVOKATION. It's called Chalice of Ages and is simply one of the best OG Death Metal albums I've heard in years.

They have many similarities and influences such as Asphyx, Unleashed, Bolt Thrower, Dismember, etc.

They also recently performed at NRW Deathfest in Germany.

So how was this year for everyone in terms of metal goodness? I enjoyed some great releases from Amon Amarth, To-Mera, The Sword, Axamenta and Suffocation. I also found some truly amazing shit this year I'd never heard before, like Windir, Vader, Ghoul, Asmegin, Moonsorrow, Metal Church, and Destroyer 666. I heard Agallochs new album was pretty good, haven't listened to it yet though. Oh right, Canopys album was pretty fucking great too. Good job crast ya brutal bastard.

All in all, a pretty solid year for metal I'd say. How about you fuckers?

The new album will contian ten songs, and it's release date in Europe is the 26th of June.
