It is the joint opinion of your two moderators (
fhionnuiscetine and maccaj) that metaphysical energy is a gift that anyone can tap into. For this reason, it is vastly important to her, and by extension this community of individuals, that the tools of the trade be available to all who seek them regardless of station in life, age, experience, or cash flow.
As such, this community is aimed at metaphysical researchers, energyworkers, spiritually motivated people, etc. to TRADE goods, services, and knowledge for other goods/services of their choosing.
For questions related to how monetary concerns are dealt with in this community, please see this post. If you take issue with the conclusions of the moderators in that post, this is probably not the community for you.
Examples of people whom this community is for:
You're just starting up a business in giving metaphysical/divination readings, and would like to trade readings for materials that would help your business (tarot cards, crystals, incense, etc).
You are reading a really awesome book on metaphysics, or are planning to do so, but would like to have someone to study with, locally or over e-mail/IM/LJ.
You're good at energy work, and want to become proficient in energy work, candle magic, a world religion, or meditation system. Thus, you'd be ecstatic to find someone for whom you could use energy healing/chakra balancing to pay for lessons/tutoring.
You have ritual materials you no longer need (candles, athame, altar cloths, handmade goods), which are asking you for a new home...
If you join this community and are found seeking monetary compensation, you will be eaten by a grue, and really piss your moderator off. Probably in reverse order.
LJ cuts are good for you. Niceness is good for you. Elitism, agism, and other related isms are bad for you, and the rest of us.
