This is a community for people who are messy and want to clean up. All other forms of procrastination are welcome. It's not a 12-Step program. It can be as many or as few steps as you like. Choose from:
The 1-step program - Post a message of despair, procrastination, excuses, and/or blame-shifting
The 2-step program - Post a 'before' picture too!
The 3-step program - Clean up the mess (GASP!)
The 4-step program - Post an 'after' picture!
The 5-step program - Change your ways and never make a mess again (hahaha! Yeah.)
The 6-step program - Receive praise and glory and hateful envy
There may be additional steps involved, including laughing at offering support for other members, receiving threatsmockery encouragement from the support group, sharing horror stories of messes in the past, procrastinating by commiserating about messes and dreamy ways you could avoid them, and... whatever else comes up. You can skip steps. You can reverse the order of steps. You can delete steps. You can sit down and take no steps, but that's not as fun. You should at least try to wallow in despair a bit. It's cathartic.
But remember - if you can't clean up your mess, the next best thing is to talk about it on the internet.
"It must be worse before it can get better; that is what I always say." Preserved Killick, Desolation Island, Patrick O'Brian
"To ensure a clean and happy environment, sweep and dust twice daily. Every week clean the house from top to bottom. Work hard all day (even if it's only a three hour job) repeating your efforts as often as possible. When finished, have someone inspect your work, criticizing as much as possible."
