merhawkI was just looking at a copy of the editorial cartoon, and what it most strongly reminds me of is the Oscar Grant shooting in Oakland overlaid with the stimulus issue.
In other words, my first impression of that is that he's comparing Barack Obama to Oscar Grant, not whatever chimp story broke out of the NE earlier.
That might not be what he meant, but - if so - that is some very sloppy editorial cartooning to not make it clear. And some bad decision making, considering that historically blacks have been called chimps to show they were supposedly sub-human.

It made me headdesk. Mostly the implied "I've never heard this, so it can't be true" tones made me headdesk.
