I shall be attending a conference in New York next weekend, on Music, Cinema, & Cyberspace: Presenting Written Material in New Media. It is a conference of the sort which I rarely am able to attend, so I am pleased that this one is being held at such a place and time that I shall. I am quite looking forward to this; many of my colleagues shall be in attendance, some whom I have not seen for quite some time.
As I am attending in my capacity as L'Academie professor, the Headmistress has asked me to inquire of my fellow attendees if any would be interested in submitting a resume/CV for one of our open teaching positions. I shall most certainly do my best to find any interested canditates, but once again I must protest that the Headmistress expects such effort of me and yet seeks out no other members of the staff. Do invite such colleagues as you have to apply for these positions, or I shall not be held responsible for the personality of the applicants we do receive.
Along these lines, the Headmistress has asked me to see into having (of all things) teeshirts made for the staff, that we could wear at events such as these to ...identify... ourselves. While I find the idea vulgar at best, the Headmistress has her heart set on this and I therefore must inquire as to who is interested in said shirts, so that I know how many to order.
I would like you all to note this is not in my job description.
