Just a short note on recs
Aug. 29th, 2015 07:51 pmI haven't used my rec tag in ages. So I thought I'd put up a notice: from now on the primary place for fic recs are my AO3 bookmarks which you can find here. Usually I add a short, or not so short, note to let people know why I recced the fic. I can keep them beautifully organized there and they are easily downloadable. I am not saying I will never put up a rec here again but that it will be more likely I am reading the fic on AO3 anyway so it's easier to bookmark it there.
I have already collected 90 recs there from fandom as different as Merlin (BBC), Sherlock (BBC), Stargate Atlantis, Hobbit, Star Trek, X-Men, Smallville and DCU. Sometimes I have added my own tags, especially when the author used them sparingly so people could get a better idea of the fic.
