the universe of what-happened-next

I‘ve started reading the novel Word of Honour is based on last week and am enjoying it a lot! Here are some random thoughts and lines that I enjoyed:

- We were Robbed. ROBBED of Zishu encountering random cats on roofs!!! The drama would have been so much better with additional cats

He [ZZS] placed them under th teapot before gracefully jumping onto the roof. On the roof was a small dragon li cat strolling. It felt a fleeting shadow and halted in alert, eyes wide, but didn‘t see anything else. Tilting its head in confusion, the cat ran towards the kitchen.

- What I wouldn‘t have given to see this in the drama:

Cao Weining, after listening to them confusedly, gave the final conclusion:"You two have such an admirable camaraderie."

Zhou Zishu shut up, glancing at Cao Weining in complete silence. He knew the Patriarch of Qing Feng Sword Sect was an old sly fox, how on earth did that man manage to raise an innocent rabbit like this one?

Wen Kexing unabashedly took advantage of that to wrap his arm around Zhou Zishu‘s shoulders, smiling at Cao Weining, "Thank you, Young Master Cao. In fact, I have made up my mind that in this lifetime I will marry no one else but Brother Zhou."

Cao Weining‘s mouth was as wide open as his eyes.

- Gu Xiang in a fight, having to protect Chengling at the same time: "In a lifetime of murders and arsons, Gu Xiang had never been so inconvenienced before." XD

- Today in "lines that amuse me when I‘m feeling low":

Zhou Zishu closed his eyes to inhale a deep breath. He unclenched his fists before balling them up again, while, without a word, he stared at the back of Ye Baiyi‘s head. The more he looked at it, the more he felt that the shape of the guy‘s cranium was exceptionally suited to a good cudgelling.

- more out of context line: "Zishu thus realised he had done something stupid again."
