There now follows a spoilery rant. Highlight for spoilers! *The second one is me unfridging one of the few female characters on the show. Poor Pangzi has had a previous love interest in Ultimate Note who was fridged. Then is about 10-12 years later he meets another woman with a daughter and falls in love. For (to me) dubious reasons she gets into a car accident and dies in the drama adaptation. Another unnecessary death, esp. since there aren't a lot of female characters anyway. So, in my headcanon she survives and she and her daughter go to live with the Iron Triangle in Yucun.*
