mekareThis prompt made me think of a video I saw on Tumblr where someone had reposted (most likely) a video from douyin (the Chinese TikTok name). A tea master demonstrated with various clay tea pots that you can recognise the pot's quality by pouring tea from it - there should be no audible sound, even if you pour from very high up. So I looked for references for Chinese tea pots and found a video where someone made one. Took some caps and voilà. My headcanon is that Xiaoge finds a new hobby in Yucun by bonding with some village elders who teach him to make traditional clay pots to sell at the market. It's something soothing to do with his hands, and he has the patience for it. Making something useful would appeal to him I think.
