I wonder where the wind goes

And whither have you from?

I through the buildings And the wings of birds, To yawn through shop awnings And tug from rough, unsuspecting hands! That tiredly set out, in the early mornings, Then sidestepping stalls and kicking at cans.

Then whistling through the woods And scattering through the trees Like gold through honeycomb Till I'm dancing with the leaves.

Till I leave and have left, Meandering riversides, Skimming stepping stones And snapping sails west,

Over miles, and miles and further; Twice round the earth to you.

So send me off, and wish me luck, As I billow through the sky! It is time. I've got to go- Getting warmer and rising high!

‘Till I'm a frozen breeze at the top of the earth, Suspended in the sky. Travelling with rapid speeds But motionless to your eye!

Hanging just below the stars, and reaching for the moon-!

Breath of summer air; Collapsing soon.

I read the Jabberwocky

‘Twas the moonby hour,

When scrunching and sklooping the mosh does do,

Then by my jappy gundun power,

The wibbler pages were sklooped of wibbles too!
