New Michael Crawford Phans Forever Group. Please read..

Dear everyone,

I would like to inform you all that the group has moved now to a different group website. I'm currently trying to get some of the information and photos onto the new website.

You can find the new group @
http://www.michaelcrawford.co.nr

The new group has almost the same features as MSN groups does. I'm very upset to see MSN groups closing in February 2009. They originally moved this groupt to a different group website, but I didn't like how it was set up, so I moved the group over to another website.

I strongly encouraged you to join the new group. I'm not going to delete this group. All of the information from this old group will be on Multiply, MSN's partner website for online groups. Please help us get our original group number back.

Thank you.

Your manager of Michael Crawford Phans Forever,
Lisa

Hi Everyone!

I can't believe i've found a community like this. *happiness*
Yes, I am new here and I just adore Michael Crawford. He is my all time favorite and only phantom of the opera. I'm so mad they never did the movie with him :( I myself partially blame Sarah Brightman and Webber...but you know..

I don't know about all the members here but I hate the 2004 movie so I hope theres no Gerry or Emmy fans in here. But anyways, i've seen a lot of footage on YouTube from his performances and I have to tell you the man is brilliant. It sucks because they took down his 'reprise' and a couple of others down but im thankful i got to see in those clips. I have the cast recording and I listen to it WAY too much, if thats even possible.

I guess MC holds a special place in my heart and it brings me to great disapointment I will never see him perform as the phantom :( But anyways, I've fought tooth and nail with those stupid anti-crawford people and i think it would be fun to have people not arguing with me for once. So thats where this community comes in!

I <3 Michael!!!

Hey there!

I'm new here, so I thought I'd say hello.
My name's Gwen, I live in Sweden, and I'm 16 years old.

I absolutley ADORE Michael Crawford! I always compare his voice to chocolate, and that's a HUUUGE compliment coming from me XD He IS the Phantom, I can't stand that horrible Gerard Butler in the movie. I turned my sister in to a Michael/Phantom frak aswell, she nearly starts to cry everytime she hears 'music of the night'. Other musicals with dear Micheal on the soundtrack that I enjoy are 'Dance of the vampires' and 'The woman in white'. Wonderful! :D

What on earth....

I know this isn't MC related, and I understand if it needs to be deleted (and I applogize in advance for that), but, I just got a notice in my inbox about some upcoming Broadway stuff. On the list is something entitled simply "Phantom". No, it's not "The Phantom of the Opera" as we know it (that's listed in a completely different place), but either it's something entirely different, or...uhm..something?

It's only playing in Canada this summer, but I'm awfully curious about what it is. Maybe someone has heard of it?

This is the link to "Phantom"

here's where it will be at and when:

Calgary
July 5 - July 30, 2006
Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium

Edmonton
Aug. 30 - Sept. 24, 2006
Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium

Vancouver
Aug. 2 - 27, 2006
Queen Elizabeth Theatre

Googling "Phantom" brings up the obvious information about ALW's Phantom, but I'm curious as to what this one will be.

Anyone? Heard of it? Know of it? Know ~anything~ about it?

Newbie

Hey group, I've just joined. :) Ever since I first heard Michael sing "The Music of the Night" I've been absolutely entranced by his voice. I'm on my third version of the full soundtrack, because I wore out the first two, and am building up my collection of his solo albums. Nobody, and I do mean NOBODY, sings the Phantom like Michael, and none should even be compared to him.

I randomly just discovered that he played the White Rabbit in the 1973 version of Alice in Wonderland. I loved that movie when I was little, and White Rabbit was always my favorite character. Little did I then know! That night I took it out and watched it for the first time in probably 15 years. Disturbing, but I was amused watching Michael run around as a rabbit! Now I have the song where he's dueling with Alice always stuck in my head. Oh well!

Michael on A&E!

Hi Everyone! This morning I saw the Phantom special on A&E! It showed some interviews with Andrew Lloyd Webber, Cameron Macintosh , Harold Prince, and Gillian Lynn.. Also during these interviews, it showed some footage of the current Broadway cast and showed a clip of Sarah and Steve singing All I Ask of You.. But the best came on LAST!! A wonderful interview with the Original Phantom, Michael!!! It was a great interview.. Michael is looking very great and very handsome too!! He doesn't look 64 years old to me.. I believe this interview was filmed the weekend before the Gala of Phantom.. Michael talked about The Phantom , Buster Keaton , John Lennon and Gene Kelly.. He told the story about meeting Gene .. It was so very funny.. I've heard the story over a million times, but it gets better and better each time Michael tells it... It was a great interview..

It showed the footage of Michael at the Gala saying The Phantom's Line "Go" at the end of the Gala on the 9th.. Also, it showed some of him with Sarah in Phantom..

I hope you all got to see this special and interview!! I had a great morning!

Love,
Lisa
