Shortcuts for customizing the plugin

Here you’ll find an overview of the options and tools available in the Quick Actions Panel.

Quick Actions Panel

The Quick Actions Panel is a convenient menu that provides fast access to the plugin’s primary settings and toggles.

You can access this panel from several locations:

  • In the main menu under Tools → Material Theme.

  • On the far right of the main toolbar.

  • Within the Quick Switch Panel.

You can also assign custom shortcuts to any of its submenus in Settings → Appearance & Behavior → Keymap → Material Theme.

Material Theme Switcher

The Material Theme Switcher allows you to quickly browse and apply different themes.

Themes are categorized by type (Light or Dark). It also includes the Adaptive Theme, which automatically adjusts based on your current OS color scheme.

Accent Color Switcher

Much like the theme switcher, this menu displays all available accent colors, allowing for rapid switching.

Additionally, it includes options to inherit the accent color from the current theme and to enable Accent Mode.

Contrast Toggles

This submenu includes toggles related to contrast options:

  • Toggle Contrast Mode to enable/disable the plugin’s contrast mode.
  • Toggle High Contrast to enable/disable the plugin’s high contrast mode.

Tabs Toggles

This submenu includes various toggles for customizing the appearance and behavior of tabs:

  • Set Recommended Tab Height: Resets the tab height to the default value (42).
  • Toggle Uppercase Tabs: Toggles the uppercase tabs style.
  • Toggle Custom Tab Font: Toggles the tabs custom font.
  • Toggle Tab Separators: Toggles the visibility of separators between tabs.
  • Toggle Rounded Tabs: Toggles the Rounded Tabs style.
  • Toggle Bold Active Tab: Toggles bold text for the active tab.
  • Toggle Tab Shadow: Toggles the shadow effect beneath the tabs.
  • Toggle Tab Glow: Toggles the glow effect beneath the tabs.
  • Remove Tab Shadow: Removes any shadow or glow effect under the tabs.
  • Tab Highlight Position: Allows you to change the position of the tab highlight.

Spacing Toggles

This submenu includes options for adjusting the spacing of various UI components:

  • Toggle Compact Item Line Height: Toggles the compact line height for menu items and list items.
  • Toggle Compact Dropdowns: Toggles the compact size for dropdown components.
  • Toggle Compact Table Cells: Toggles the compact size for table cells.
  • Toggle Compact Fields: Toggles the compact size for text fields and other input components.
  • Toggle Compact Menus: Toggles the compact size for menus.
  • Toggle Compact Status Bar: Toggles the compact size for the IDE status bar.
  • Toggle Compact List Items: Toggles the compact size for items in lists.

This submenu includes toggles for customizing the appearance and behavior of trees:

  • Toggle Colored Directories: Toggles the colored directories feature in the project tree.
  • Toggle Custom Tree Font: Toggles the custom font for the tree components.
  • Toggle Indicator Gradient: Toggles the gradient effect for tree indicators.
  • Toggle Custom Tree Indent: Toggles the custom indentation for tree items.
  • Toggle Custom Line Height: Toggles the custom line height for tree items.
  • Indicator Styles: Allows you to choose between different styles for tree indicators:

UI Components Toggles

This submenu provides toggles for various UI components and their styles:

  • Toggle Outline Buttons: Toggles the outline style for buttons.
  • Toggle Round Notifications: Toggles rounded corners for notification popups.
  • Extra Shadows: Toggles additional shadows for some components.
  • Toggle Upper Case Buttons: Toggles uppercase text for buttons.
  • Toggle Inverted Completion Selection: Inverts the selection color in completion lists.

  • Toggle Custom Font: Toggles the use of a custom font for the IDE.
  • Toggle Material Wallpapers: Toggles the Material Wallpapers feature.
  • Toggle Overlays: Toggles the use of overlays for some components.
  • Toggle More Overlays: Toggles additional overlays.
  • Animate Tool Windows: Toggles animations when opening/closing tool windows.
  • Toggle Auto Reset Color Scheme: Toggles automatic resetting of the color scheme when changing themes.
  • Toggle Centered Editor: Toggles the centered editor mode.
  • Toggle Editor Global Font: Toggles the use of a global font for the editor.

  • Remove Material Wallpaper: Clears the current IDE background image.
  • Set UI Font to Google Sans: Sets the IDE UI font to Google Sans.
  • Reset Color Scheme: Resets the current color scheme to its default values.
  • Clean Overlays: Removes all active overlays.
  • Apply Custom UI Font: Applies the configured custom UI font.

  • Material Theme Wizard: Opens the Material Theme setup wizard.
  • Install Atom Material Icons: Provides a link to install the Atom Material Icons plugin.
  • Activate License: Opens the license activation dialog.
  • Toggle Show Wizard on Welcome: Toggles whether to show the wizard on the welcome screen.
  • Toggle Show What’s New: Toggles whether to show the “What’s New” dialog after updates.
  • Undock Tool Windows: Undocks all tool windows.
  • Dock Tool Windows: Docks all tool windows.
