Saturday August 26

Sunday August 27
Met at my aunt and uncles. Their new puppies are so cute! Ginger still has no BC or passport. We just hope that her military id is good enought, and that her dad can vouch for her. We load up the car and head out. Three exits on the parkway and my aunt and uncle realize that they left their BCs at home. We go back and get them. It is now almost 5am. Our flights leave at 630 and 645.

We make it to the air port and get through security and head to our gates. at 620 when we should be boarding, we're still standing around. 630...still standing around. At about 640 the Delta people come out and say that there was no oxygen on our plane so they were switching things around. We get on the plane and all goes well, and it looks like we might even make it to Atlanta on time to get our connection.

Nope, no such luck, we get there just as our connection would be taking off. We get some nasty airport breakfast and head off to Tampa and hour later than planned. Upon arriving in Tampa we find the rest of our family and our aunt tells us that she almost had a heart attack because of hearing about the Comair flight. Which, turns out to be the real reason we left Pittsburgh late.

After hearing this, we go get our luggage. I notice right away that mine is broken. The corner got messed up and one of the zippers was pulled apart. I talk to Delta and they said they'd tape it for the return trip and then I could send it to them and they'd fix it. Sounds reasonable. So we head off to the ship where we are forced to give up our suitcases to the porter who wisks it away to not be seen again for hours. Finally getting it back, I discover that it is broken the rest of the way and that my only two shirts that go with skirts I packed are dirty and the other torn. And the Tampa port? Crappy looking. We were all in bad moods, sort of, the rest of the night.

Monday August 28 First 'Fun Day at Sea"
We didn't do much today except eat, lay buy the pool and nap. Sorry we aren't that exciting. But I have a few pictures...

Tuesday August 29th Belize
I have no idea what the hype about Belize is. Maybe it's because we didn't go to the beach? We all decided that we wanted to go cave tubing. It was a pretty good time. We got a tour through Belize City, and then headed out to the rainforest. Sadly we saw no wild life, other than a massive grasshopper type thing that freaked people out. Wimps. We took a 45 min hike, which included crossing a river where you could jump off a cliff. I did it! It was fun. We lugged our tubes through the forest and got into the river. The first place had a little rapid. Guess who got stuck. Guess who had to get the river people to get her unstuck? If you guess me you are right. We went through a cave and then down the river, where my family crashed into a rock wall. Then we were back at the begining, It was pretty lame, yet Cosmo says it is a very sexy thing to do when in Belize. I didn't feel too sexy crashing into that wall. No pictures because they are on my undeveloped water camera.

Wednesday August 30th Cozumel Mexico
Cousins and I decided that we were going to go zip lining and snorkling at this port. We didn't even go to Cozumel really, but to Maya Riviera. We get put into a very hot van and are driven Mexican style, ie very very fast, down dirt roads. To the adventure park, where we are out fitted in harnesses and helmets. By very hot Mexican men. The hotmen teach us how to zip line, and take us up into the trees and shove us off of them. Okay they aren't that mean, they very nicely hook us up and count to tres before pushing us off, sending us on our way to the next hot boy tree. I managed to bang my shin against a metal platform. And ran into the very last tree. After changing we are loaded back into the van and taken to the ocean where we are given about 20 minutes to snorkle way to close to coral reefs for my comfort. Then we eat some food at a resturant and go back to the port to tender back out to our boat.

Thursday August 31 Costa Maya Mexico
After coming in from the balcony, I am serenaded by my cousins in a round of happy birthday. Yup, I got to celebrate my birthday in another country. We planned this ports trip through a private company and not the cruise line. We headed to a little fishing village called Majaual. The beach was really pretty. And there were lots of dogs. Our actual tour was to Chachoben where we saw Mayan Ruins. That night our waiter brought me a cake and sang happy birthday. And I got cards from the family. And that was as exciting as the evening got. We missed the show, and ended up watching Narnia and going to sleep by 11pm.

Friday September 1 Grand Caymen Island
My aunt, uncle and I decided to go swimming with the stingrays and snorkling. It was really cool! I loved the stingrays! I even kissed one! As my aunt and I were tendering back to the ship we heard gun shot type bangs! It seems that there were pirates! Hot too (even though you can't tell in these pics)

Saturday September 2 Fun Day at Sea
Our fun consisted of a lot of eating and laying by the pool and going down the water slide. I did discover a new drink. A twilight zone.

Sunday September 3 Tampa to Pittsburgh
We all made it to our flights in time, although my cousins and I had a two hour wait for ours. We got to Ohio saftely where I had text and phone conversations with Christie, which was great fun! We go to get on our plane to Pittsburgh and find out it's a Comair flight. Needless to say I was terrified the entire way home.
