It's been over 2 months since I started going back to school for my net admin path @ Montgomery College. It's not too bad...so far. The Windows 7 course was easy to follow but the Windows Server 2008 Administration is a whole different ballgame. I'm getting it but not at the pace that I thought. It takes some time to get used to it and that's alright with me.
This coming week, I will be starting my CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Administrator) course. From everything that I have heard, it is VERY difficult, with a 50% retention rate of the class. Yea, it's that serious.
But, this class alone WILL lead me to a higher salary. Those with CCNA certificates start at around $50-60,000. Combine that with previous I.T. experience and a college degree? Add another $10-15k. :) It's gonna be rough and the schedule will be hard to get adjusted to, but I need to do it, for the sake my future career.

Season of Change
Lately, things have been quiet on my end. Today marks 4 years since 
keeeeeeys and I have been together! You hear that Abby, I love you fool! :)
To enhance my techie skills once again, I will be putting in a 1 Terabyte Hard Drive (1000 gigabytes) and 4 gigs of ram into Abby's pc. Staples told her to wipe everything she has on her pc. Necessary? I believe not. It only cost about $112 for that.
In family news, a family friend came from Barbados to visit my parents. As much as I wanted to see her, I couldn't due to scheduling conflicts. Now, Laiafah, the family friend and my mother's only best friend, is in the hospital in New York (my parents drove her up there to see family). She has breast cancer and so far she is hanging in there. Yet, the complications she has do not arise from the cancer. It comes from being an alcoholic. I had no idea that she was an alcoholic and my father even told me so.
Ever since my mother and Laiafah were kids, she used to drink. Not a heavy drinker (as in 20 sake bombs) but a constant drinker every day. Fast forward 40 years later, she has liver and kidney failure. My prayers go out to her.
Since this is the month of the 3 B's (Banks, Belgrave and Bingham) I was thinking of having a guys night out or something...

What's New?
For starters, I got my Yellow belt w/ black stripe! This was a surprise because I didn't expect to jump a rank higher than what I thought I was going to get. Next step, Blue belt!
Otakon was awesome by the way! Pictures have already been uploaded and the videos are uploading to Youtube as I type.
Building the computer is 1/2 done now; the hardest part was screwing in the motherboard since I didn't have the right set of screws. The next part will be the easiest to put in the computer but the most expensive as well. This is a gradual process so the pc won't be done until October or so.
Next weekend, Pittsburgh with Abby!

No Subject
Things are going alright so far. I got a SFIV TE stick and sent it to one of my SRK friend's who lives in Cali. He's gonna mod it and send it back. It will have clear buttons, Golgo 13 on the front, clear ball top and a midnight blue bezel. I suck with it because it's the first time I play with a stick.
Aside from that, I have been thinking about getting a side job and getting into more activities. It would give me a chance to try something new for a change.
