Here's the REAL thing so far... it gets painted next week or the week after.. then we start stacking the rest of it the 1st and 3rd weeks of January!

CD of an Austin band, now broken-up, called Breedlove. I can't find their cds ANYWHERE. I talked to a guy in Austin that knows the producer or something, and he said they aren't on the market anymore, but I might be able to find them at some small shops in Austin... If any of you happen by any of the cd stores before my next trip out there, can you look out for me?

Sometimes it really hits me. I'm not sure I've dealt with it completely yet. It took me a good 6-7 years to stop thinking about Challenger every day. Now it's almost harder because I'm in the middle of it now, not some bystander, watching in from the outside while trying to figure out how to do my homework. Things have changed... I have the great fortune to work in a group that puts people into space.
Almost every time I think about Columbia, I have to hold back tears. I did not know any of them, but it feels like I did because everyone around me knew most of the crew and those who worked hard to get them ready for launch and ready to come home. Unfortunately they didn't make it home.
It still hurts... I remember that day like it was yesterday.
- Earned my Purple Belts (belt #5) in Tae Kwon Do and Combat Hapkido - Received the Student of the Year award from my Martial Arts School - Had an assist in outdoor soccer - may have been my first ever - Scored a goal in outdoor soccer - my first EVER!!! - Got a yellow card in the same game, my second in about 20 years.. I was apparently being "too aggressive". It was given to me within the first 2 minutes of my field time (lol!). If you ask me, I think the other team was just a bunch of wimps. - Got smacked directly in the face with the soccer ball, kept going without even flinching - and accomplishment because my nose is.. well, used to be... ultra wimpy and tender such that I would have normally crumpled to the ground bleeding.... but I didn't!!! I attribute this to getting punched in the face on a regular basis, usually every week
