a normal day starts normally for normal people

but not for the troublesome trio. you (along with grim), deuce and ace are the infamous tomfoolers of the school. hell probably even sage island. so infamous that when the school is quite without any stuff happening, it gives people shivers

your shenanigans start around 12 o'clock. just after having your lunch. climbing tree in the yard, bitching about crowley cuz he won’t increase your wages (yes wage, you’re crowley’s unofficial and probably illegal worker)

some students would even whisper, “hey…its awfully quite today no?” and all his friends would just facepalm because bro jinxed it and jinxed it bro did because AS SOON AS he said that a blast erupted from alchemy class when…its not even time for classes? dude what are you guys doing in the lab you want Crewel to send you three to the seven themselves?

its a constant headache for Riddle and Trey since riddle has to collar ace, deuce and grim (not you because clear favouritism and you’re magicless anyway so whats he gonna take from you? your soul?) and Trey sometimes accompanied by Cater has to bail you three out

Not a day goes by without something or someone breaking. whether its a 1000 year old apple tree (which is prolly fake byt crowley won’t admit it) or just some glass vials.

even Azul would “graciously” have to extend a contract which would ensure you three don’t cause mischeif. which you obviously vehemently deny cause we all know this guy’s upto no good

Kalim, Lilia and Idia have the most fun outta it all. Idia calls you three the “SSR characters with peak team comp” and Lilia just waves it off as “youthful hazards”. Kalim honestly doesn’t even get whats happening he just grins like the sun incarnate. Leona and Malleus are just nonchalant about this and Sebek, Jack and Epel pretend to not know you guys (traitors i say)

“Someone’s gotta keep everyone on their toes!” Ace would try to defend himself but…there’s honestly nothing to defend when he was selected as the ‘dumbest’ of the trio on a poll held on NRC’s anonymous page

Honestly you are the only responsible one out of all. even though Deuce tries but fails cause anyone having Ace as their friend is bound to get into a host of trouble. bye bye honour student role lmao

“Ugh c'mon! I’m not that weak and it happens! You guys fall sick all the time and get back up! I’ll do the same”

A drag path but its the blinding and harsh white light of the vet’s ER. You forcing the tears to not fall from your reddened eyes as you look at blissfully unaware grim sleeping soundlyfor the first time after so many days

the doctor drops the bombshell on you even though you suspected as much…

“Grim…is a direbeast and while they mostly live a long time…im afraid something has been contaminating his mana causing him to have a mana reflux…you best make the most of the time you have with him. probably few weeks at worst and months at best…im sorry”

it was supposed to be a fun sleepover with the first years…

you guys were playing when suddenly grim started foaming at the mouth and stiffened up. you and your friends rushed to the hospital. it all happened in the blink of an eye and you don’t even know what to feel right now…

your friends comforted you on the journey back as you held your tiny companion tightly in your arms.

you made sure to spend even more time with grim. you knew that he had already figured out what was going to happen to him noticing the change in your demeanor and your friends but…he also wishes to spend a lot of time with you too

you take him on walks around the NRC campus and the dorms. to the white sand beach near RSA. buy him lots and lots of toys, food and clothes in foothill town. make sure to never miss a single festival and take him there.

within a few months you had visited scalding sands, sunset savanna, shaftlands, queendom of roses, the coral sea, briar valley and even S.T.Y.X

your first, second and third year friends were a huge help, letting your wish to take grim on a journey across the world come true

and soon a few weeks before graduation…

grim wanted everyone to be here while he only wanted you in your shared bedroom…

a drag path but its your little furbaby who slow blinked at you countless times, and only kept looking at you, purring in your arms as you were fighting everything in you to make sure he only remembered your happy face before he finally breathed his last

a drag path where he left a tiny yet utterly significant claw mark on your hand as he slowly fell back into sleep for eternity…

they all mourned the loss of Grim…the whole school grieved for days. Malleus acknowledged that Grim felt loved. Leona comforted you that he was happy with you and now he’ll be happy forever. Kalim hugged you tightly as he cried with you. Sebek accompanied you on all your lonely walks. Azul had the Leech twins drop off some food from the Mostro Lounge. Jamil would prepare herbal tea for you whenever insomnia hit you. Vil stayed behind to take care of you. Trey brought you homemade lunch every day.

you rested his little body underneath the willow tree which you two liked the most. you put sunflowers and forget me nots. at the bottom of the tree near the trunk you placed a tower made of tuna cans. it was a small castle which could snuggly fit his body. it was supposed to be a fun way of recycling after all the tuna he had. you two made it together and it had a photo of you two together inside. it was supposed to be a memento for when you would return to your world…

who would have thought he would be the first one to go? in another life maybe you two will spend a lifetime together

you two are talking a walk amidst a valley of flowers and your hands keep brushing all the time because of how close you two are walking. “The flowers look lovely today wouldn’t you agree?” he said inspecting a bloom and fighting the blush creeping on his face as his mind by distracted by the warmth on his side and how the flowers beauty would be elevated if it is adorned in your hair. you on the other hand were debating whether you should actually just hold his hand or internally cringe thinking how corny it is walking hand in hand in a flower valley. typical romance novel plot (yes yes you do read those books even though you think they are too sappy, too cheesy but hey it fuels your passion and makes it a time well spent!). but he was looking right at you as he holds the flower in his hand, his eye softening as he looks at you. he smiles gently “nothing compares to your beauty after all…”

you pluck a few blooms and make flower crowns or just braid then in his hair. he looks ethereal with the evening sun spilling on him while the flower dazzels his face. you didn’t quite notice him stirring awake with how dazed you were at his visage. he cracked and eye open as you shrieked. he chuckled, “you should take a picture and make it your homescreen while you are at it”

the stars were especially bright tonight and there was a meteor shower waiting to happen soon near midnight so you suggested it to your, friend/crush and he agreed a little too quickly…hmm sus. “so! excited for the meteor?” you clasped your hand behind your back as you fought the butterflies creeping up in your stomach and the rapid pounding of your heart which you were sure he could hear with how loud it was ringing in yoru ears. “you don’t get to see such marvellous sights often wouldn’t you agree?” “totally like…yeah but its a long time before it happens yknow?” sevens you look like a pick me trying hard to make their senpai notice them. cringe, CRINGE, but its worth the intimacy points.

puddles were a common sight around ramshackle with how rundown and low maintained the abandoned building was before you arrive. arrival of the rain means, arrival of him too. so in your rain boots and coats with you crooked little boats you two lead the tiny toys into the water and watch them race. its not embarassing but its sweet getting to spend time in a non-cliche way. but when the fun goes too far and he’s actually dragging you to the heavy rain as he leaves his raincover somewhere else? oh bless your heart he looks mesmerizing as he smiles though the strands sticking to his face and his shirt sticking to his muscles as he twirls and sways with you! “hehehe oh look! we are all muddy and wet now why don’t we wash off and dry together near the fireplace?” yeah he knows now with how he’s acting even if you are too shy to admit. he reciprocates your feelings too.

he’s strong undoubtedly with the muscles that flexes whenever he crosses his arms or carries something heavy or helps you carry something which you were tasked with. you wish he’d use those and carry you or something but you will never say it aloud. he’s no fool. he notices how your eyes turn to hearts when you get even a little sight of his muscles and he’s more than willing to indulge you. so while you are in ramshackle dorm trying to get something from the high shelf no matter how tall you are, he going to haul you up on his shoulder with one hand and help you complete the job. when he wants you somewhere and you’re not compling or not doing it, he will sack you on his shoulder like potatoes and carry you. when your feet hurt after a lot of walking, he will give you a piggyback ride or carry you with ine hand. these muscles aren’t for show. they’re for protection and specifically for these moments. oh how he wishes he could kiss you stupid with how cute you look as he picks you up without notice and how he just adores your affection for him. he’s a softie through and through and this nature of him is only reserved for you. he has a lot of patience so he’ll wait until you can say those words to him without a second thought and without being shy.

you forgot to tell him that you can cook food so when you entered the heartslabyul dorm with a basket filled with foods they asked where you got it from
their jaws DROPPED except riddle because they did not know you could cook plus being able to cook good food is a talent
riddle just felt so proud knowing that his s/o could make food
he was genuinely surprised when he tasted the strawberry tart you made cause it was so good ???
now whenever he eats tarts that were not prepared by you everything pales in comparison to yours because they don’t taste the same
when riddle asked you how you made it you were trying to act lovey dovey so you said ‘same recipe just with a lot of love’
for others it may seem cringe but for him it was everything
he made a rule that applied to you exclusively and that was you were to make and feed him your baked sweets every weekend

Jamil himself knows how to cook

two lovers who can cook is probably a match made in heaven
jamil is not a picky eater so he will eat whatever you feed him cause he trusts you a lot

Ace saw a bunch of cakes in your refrigerator and he was quite hungry so he grabbed one

he called to ask you where you got this from
he was surprised the first minute when you said it and extremely proud and happy the next moment
he uses the treats you make for him and feeds them to riddle whenever he is kinda mad so he would be able to escape from his wrath
he escapes most of the time and is very grateful to you for this
he would GLADLY ask you to feed him because he loves it when you make those cute gestures telling him to open his mouth and the light brush of your fingers against his lips fills his stomach with butterflies
he loves it when you feed him. he loves to be baby-ed by you

leona doesn’t really admit it but he saw the face you made when he was sane after he overbloted he saw how touching your hands made you flinch
it pained him how just a simple touch from him made you flinch and your lips shaked from it
now he saw a nightmare which was like a fuel to his fears
he overbloted and hurted you
your breathing ragged with a big wound on your stomach as blood gushed out from it onto the floor
he was just standing there as if he froze and he was not even moving his hand
he wanted to scream but nothing came out
until your body suddenly dissipated
he jolted from his bed
he saw how much he was sweating but he got more scared when he couldn’t find you beside him
he ran to find wherever you were just please don’t disappear
then he saw you pouring yourself a glass of water
you noticed leona and rushed over to him because he was in a really REALLY bad condition
he just hugged you close and didn’t say a word. all he wanted was to feel you and take in the scent which would always calm his nerves

Malleus Draconia

malleus never really had any nightmares and he never used to dream that much
if he ever did he would usually forget them
but after his overblot with you being there on the scene terrified of him because he was no longer sane was the most heart breaking sight he ever saw and vowed to never hurt you
but why
just why were you dying in his arms ?
you face no longer smiling and having the warmth which helped him go through the toughest of days and the sweet voice that would lul him to sleep
unable to take in the sight infront of him he shouted to the top of his lungs
then he woke up in cold sweat but then he started to panic when you were no longer found beside him
he scurried from the bed just to find you in the bathroom
he broke down right there and you got so confused about it, but you didn’t question because he clearly had a mental breakdown right now so you just kissed his tear stained cheeks

Riddle Rosehearts

he noticed how scared and terrified you were of him when he overbloted
so after the whole situation he made sure to comfort you a lot and not be so rude to you like he was before all that happened
he stated keeping his anger in check but how did all of this happen?
how is your once lively face now pale and cold?
why is your body covered in red roses and thorns which pierced right through your body ?
why was the ground near you and the poison ivy and thorns covered in blood?
oh right
he was the reason why your lifeless body now lies infront of him while he just stood there
he wanted to scream, cry and run away and just forget that all of it ever happened and you never died you would be there in your dorm waiting when your lovely boyfriend would come back
all his thoughts soon disappeared as you shook him awake
he was crying so bad his eyes were red and hair was sticking to his forehead with how much he was sweating
he didn’t want to tell you what happened and just said that it was a bad nightmare
he swore that he would never allow that to happen to you
he just cuddled you close for the rest of the night as you stroked his hair to soothe him
