So for the past few months I haven't been getting paid in full for some type of accounting error in the department. So to make up for it, they're paying me double all summer. But the amount they haven't paid me is about half of the extra they're going to pay me this summer.
OH MY! Just got back from the taping of college Jeopardy here. It was SOSOSO fun! Alex Trebek is so witty, just like Beth said! I don't think I have much of a voice now after cheering so loudly! However, Trebek did not say that his favorite animal was a badger; rather, he opted for the muskox. That's ok...it was still so awesome!
So the past couple of days have been absolutely gorgeous, so I've had my windows open. Apparently, at one point a wasp got in. Apparently it was on the floor. Apparently it didn't like being stepped on. Now my right foot is much larger than it should be >:O
Sweet! Another cumulative exam down, and only one more to go this semester! Now if I could only get those ones graded and back...I might actually have a chance at finishing them (FOREVER!) this year. That would be sweet bliss. If only...
So, dear friends, tell me something interesting that I can do with Adobe Creative Suite instead of making .pdfs. I've now got all this new software at my disposal, but I'm at a loss as to what I should do or make with it.
Around this time every year I get in a really weird sleep rut. That is, I'll be reading or grading or working on some other type of work at, say, 9:30pm ~ 10 pm, and I'll fall asleep. It doesn't really matter what I'm doing, I just more or less fall asleep while I'm doing it. I'll think to myself "I really shouldn't be laying my head down...because...I'm ... going to .... fall...." and I'm asleep. The bad thing with that, though, is I tend to wake up at 2:30 am or something ridiculous like that, and I'm wide awake. Very little can help me get back to sleep after that, and since it's the equivalent of a mega-power nap, I'm grumpy when I wake up. In addition, I never finish the work I intended to do. Now normally the end of Spring or beginning of Summer rolls around and I snap out of it, but it's really annoying to have made it three pages into a paper by 3 am. I'm not asking for answers, really, I'm just complaining about it.
According to the weatherman, one week ago we were only one inch from surpassing the all-time record for snow fall in Madison (58.3" in a season). Last night it snowed about 2-3". <3 snow
Oh and Chelsea Clinton was here yesterday, or so the blackboards in the chemistry building told me. She's a moderate icon and she doesn't even do anything. Oh clout.
