Spoiled

With Rob home most of last week I got to sleep in a lot, and Emma got picked up a lot. We're spoiled. Back to regular schedule for today and tomorrow, but looks like we're in for another storm Wednesday which means no preschool for Ben on Thursday (again!).

Had weird dreams this morning. Ones where you aren't really you. I was talking to someone in the lobby of some building and we were looking through a book and she was commenting on how pretty someone looked and I realized I knew her too. Then I realized it was Mariah Carey I was talking to. Also was married, but my father-in-law kept hinting to me that his older son was really the better catch and that I should try to get in his good graces in case my husband died so I could marry him. Then another weird part about giving people a ride to some concert and having to put the car seats in my trunk. And it was an older car, not my Jeep. Then I had to argue with one small woman about how she needed to get out of Ben's car seat so I could put it in the back, but she wanted to ride in it.

Okay, Rob is out of the bathroom, so time for shower.

Saturday?

Losing track of what day it is since the snow has kept Rob home most of the week.

Dragged my tired self outside today to build a snowman with the boys and run crazily around the yard with them. I haven't had a chance to play in snow in like 6 years 'cause I've been pregnant, or have had an infant to deal with for the last almost 5. I've missed it!

Still feeling tired and lazy. REALLY need to start exercising because I know I will have more energy if I do, but it's a vicious loop - tired, so need to exercise, but too tired to exercise. Keep telling myself it will be easier when I'm getting solid sleep. Almost a year of getting up several times a night takes it's toll. I guess I'm doing well.

Got another affiliate check from E-Mealz. I'm not sure how, but I'm not going to complain. I'm actually MAKING money to use the service. I don't think I've ever participated in any affiliate program that made me this much money with this little effort. I also don't know what we'd be eating for dinner every night without it - except Mac and Cheese and box/frozen meals. Now if I could just get the boys to eat what we're eating, things would get a lot easier.

3 kids clean, only 1 still awake and only for another 5 or 10 minutes. Hooray! Happy Hour coming up! Ben has just requested I read him a story, so I must comply...

I'm Baaaaack. ... I think.

Mommy low light of the day: Growling at my children on my bed (at 5:30am) "Alright! Everybody OUT!"
Mommy highlight of the day: Getting big Rubbermaid containers full of snow and putting them on a towel on the kitchen floor so the boys could play in it since it's too cold to send them outside.

I'm so grouchy today. Emma had started sleeping 8 - 12 hour shifts at night but has stopped for the past week and is up every 2-4 hours. Puts a serious kink in my happy moods. Plus I'm feeling trapped because of the snow. Our 5th wedding anniversary is tomorrow and I did NOT plan well enough ahead. I worried about groceries and diapers and didn't think about an anniversary card or anything. I was expecting the in-laws to be up here. We were going to have a night out for the first time since I can't remember when.

Oh well. The snow will have to melt eventually. I'm ready for spring.

Checkin' In...

Decided to be old fashioned and buy a paper journal, but then moved the computer back out into the living room and so have more time to get stuff done online. Probably should move the paper journal to the bedroom to write in at night before bed.

Did I mention I'm pregnant? AGAIN?! We have the big gender ultrasound on Monday at 10:30. I'm thinking girl, but who knows. The boys are so sweet I could do with another one... I think.  =-)

The kids are growing up so fast. Lemme stick some pics in here from Halloween...

Off to eat some more oatmeal chocolate chip cookies!

Posting Slacker

Okay, my whole family and tons of my friends from all the way back to when I was 6 are all on Facebook, so I've been "living" there and on the boy's blog. If you have a Facebook account, can you add me please? (Amanda Huber Shertzer)  I'm sure I will keep up with everyone better over there. =-)

ugh

I ran out of chocolate and I'm soooo tired. I can see why they have a 75% retention rate in this business. You stop eating it, you realize how crappy you felt all the time before.

WHERE'S MY CHOCOLATE DELIVERY?!?!?  Good thing we're having a tasting tomorrow. Sheesh.  I gotta go lie down again.

Officially at 1 week without power and cable/internet

Please send positive thoughts my way for power and internet to come back on today. Missing a week of work is PAINFUL! We are running on a generator and I am using my brother-in-law's wireless cell card, but it's really slow and only works on my laptop (and all my software and files are on my PC).

We escaped the ice storm without any major damage to our house. The fence is bent down in a few areas and there are tree limbs *everywhere* but other than that, all is well here.  Our duplex didn't fare so well. The occupied side got a pine tree branch through the roof and front window. Unfortunately on the occupied side - the other side we are still renovating. I don't think our renter has power yet either. Sheesh.

Makes me really appreciate how good I have it on a daily basis. Going without my conveniences and having to balance loads while on the generator is wearing on me.

In other news, I accidentally jabbed myself in the eye with my thumbnail when I woke up. Ow. How I managed that I have no idea.

Okay, must go print W-2s.

Hope anyone else in the path of last week's ice storm is okay!
