Thrifting
I really don't understand how it can be this humid and not rain. It feels like somebody's armpit out there. Gah.
I went thrifting with Julie and Tracey today in Marietta, OH. They are thriftshop goddesses. Seriously, they have mad ninja skills in finding amazing stuff in those places. When I go by myself, I find nothing. Today, Julie found a gorgeous wrap dress that fits me perfectly, and they helped me to find a bazillion really nice shirts to wear to work. I found a lot of shirts for Isaac and Joseph, and I didn't even look for clothes for Olivia and Jon because they have a ton of hand-me-downs from cousins. I spent a grand total of $24 and came out of there with a dress, 10 shirts for myself, 5 shirts for Isaac and 6 for Joseph. And a purse. For me. Of course.
We had a blast. We really ought to do that more often. We always have a blast together. Marietta is such a cool little town, with all kinds of little artsy boutiques, coffee shops, antique stores and thriftshops. I wish we could have stayed longer. Maybe next time. I laughed so hard, my sides are still sore. I have amazing friends.
Speaking of amazing friends,
smilingtimsmum dropped by to give Jon a birthday present, and we had a nice visit.
Yay for cool mommies!
