i was pretty excited for this shoot as i scultped and made the heart and chest piece prosthetic myself.. i hope it's cool that the makeup's not on myself.. i just it was so perfect for this month's theme!

I did this one a while back, and used blacklight sensitive makeup for the shot.

Ok, so I know this community has been dead. Like really dead, as dead as dead can be. midorisour has tried as hard as she could to keep it going, but it's a hard task for one person. When I first started the community, I tried to make it pretty clear that I don't have alot of time for Livejournal, and tried to get some mods in here to help me keep it running, but that didn't really happen.

What I want to know is, do you guys still want this community to exist? If there is a demand for it, I will find another mod or two to help midorisour and me to get this back on track. I think there is alot of potential here, if things are run correctly. I just don't want to do all the work of finding a new mod and getting things going if we are going to get 2 or 3 posts for each theme.

I know this is a busy time of the year, I'd like to take the next month to get some more help, get a new theme up, and get this going again, if that's what everyone wants.

Please give me some feedback here so I can take whatever action needs to be taken. I really liked this community when I started it, and I'd like to see it start up again.

If I can't even get a response to THIS post, I'll know this community is pretty much done. Let's make it work!

I am officially extending our "The Elements" theme until I feel that we have a decent amount of entries to vote on.




I have a question. Some of you have complained when the community was slightly inactive in the past, but now a new challenge has been up for WEEKS. As of right now, NOBODY has entered. What's wrong? You guys voted for this challenge, so there should be tons of stunning entries.

I am officially extending our theme of "THE ELEMENTS" for one more week, until October 20th at MIDNIGHT P. S. T. (next Friday!!).

Currently, we have NO ENTRIES. Zip... zilch... nada. We had one, but I guess the entrant deleted it :(. Frankly, I am really disappointed at the lack of entries. Everybody was clamoring for this community to become active again, so what's wrong?

If you can't think of anything, you may want to refer to M·A·C's "Looks" pages, or my suggestions within the theme announcement post. Whether or not you are very creative, you can still make something very simple evoke any of the five elements.

This EXTENDED challenge will last two three weeks, to allow ample time for all of you to create something (and hopefully avoid an extension.). I will close the theme and post voting at MIDNIGHT (P. S. T.!) on October 20th, 2006. That, of course, is a Friday (ooh, spooky.). Voting will end and the winners/awards will be posted in the evening of the following Sunday (the twenty-second!).

I need one of the moderators to volunteer to choose Mod's Choice.
