In an era where info is everywhere...

and we're expecting to do everything, Nick Snapp decided it was time to figure out how to focus on what works, and eliminate the noise. He realized that no matter what the online gurus tell you, there will never be a one-size-fits-all strategy, and there had to be a way quickly test and validate ideas and marketing strategies online.  Through countless iterations, Nick and his team developed Snappier, and eventually re-branded The Make it Snappy Experiment podcast to follow suit (formerly The Make it Snappy Productivity Show).

Snappier leverages technology and behavioral science to build profitable online courses and products.

Nick earned a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Union College and MBA from the University of Florida.  He obtained Lean/Six Sigma and Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications, and worked 14 years in the nuclear and phosphate industries, where he led teams as a capital project manager, responsible for multi-million-dollar projects. 

Nick is best known as the atypical-engineer host of The "Make it Snappy" Productivity Show podcast (and all things "snappy," for that matter). His faith fuels his love for people, culture, language learning, and his passion for "tough love" and living deliberately.  He and his wife, Nazach have three boys, Carter (8) and Ethan (6), and Nico (2).

 
 

The five years leading up to my leap into entrepreneurship was mixed with both passion and uncertainty. I was on quite a journey of inward and outward reflection, intense contemplation, and prayer. To be transparent, it was a little all over the board for me: from baby do-it-yourself programs and videos, to Movember mustache campaigns, to international living. 

I’ve put my family through a lot of uncertainty by remaining at a crossroads in my life, and refusing to commit to a direction.

My struggle was that although I always knew I wanted to do something on my own, my intentions and drivers for these desires were off base.

I was having trouble finding something that fit my personality and skill set because I was too focused on what I thought people wanted to see, and ignored what I was passionate about.

Further, I was too centered on what I would gain from the experience, in lieu of thinking about how my business would help people achieve their own vision.

Despite the epic failures, I wouldn’t change this experience if I could.

2015 has been a pivotal year for me: I left my perfectly comfortable and prosperous career as an engineer/project manager for a Fortune 500 company, and took a dive into the world of engineering consulting.

Surprisingly, it was a much easier transition than I expected, and I've have been blessed with more business than I ever imagined possible in such a short period of time.  

Yet, after spending four weeks away from my family on a project in Los Angeles, I realized that my family was more important than my aspirations.

Through further reflection and prayer, I started working with a business coach, Greg Faxon, who helped me drill down to the core of what I enjoy doing and talking about; what I’ve been told I’m skilled at, and most importantly, what I felt could be used to help people not only in business, but in life.

Productivity was my answer!

I’ve always been good at getting things done, and I love the challenge of figuring out how to get the RIGHT things done. Podcasting is my forum of choice, and the tool I’ll use to convey my message of hope and purpose.

I believe I'm the only Productivity Strategist who combines productivity with purpose for entrepreneurial Moms and Dads who want their time back. We’re living in an era where overtime is expected, and overwhelm is normal, and it’s time to for a change!
