Me and ayu_ladybug were looking at trying to get together Thursday in the Portland area.

No firm plans yet. But I wanted to know if anyone else had some time that day for a little meetup? We can figure out what we want to do and where we want to meet once we know who's coming.

Ayu said after 11 was good for her.

What?: Viewing the movie Alice in Wonderland while dressed in lolita attire (no strict dress code, casual lolita is fine)
Where?: Patriot Nickelodeon Cinema at 1 Temple Street, Portland Maine
When?: Wednesday April 7th. The 4:10 showing, meeting up about 15 minutes or so before in front of the theatre to get together and be seated.
Who?: Anyone who wants to come! So far we have confirmed myself, umetraehi, and possibly ayu_ladybug, and aradiana24.

The date and time was chosen to accomadate various work schedules. And we apologize that there isn't more advance notice as this was planned very recently. Let us know if you want/are able to come so we can wait for you! We're hoping that this will be a good meet and greet for those who are attending the May picnic.

Wow, I had no clue there was a Maine Loli community. :p Ah well, I found it.

Anyhow, I am Rosy, and probably the oldest Lolita here! I'm in Portland, and primarily like classic and country styles. I like sweet but at almost 30, with some "sparkle hairs" and some laugh lines starting to show, I feel a bit daft running about covered in sweets and teddy bears!! I sew most of my own things, and just bought a pattern to make flowers out of scraps!

So I've been talking with a few of you through email. Potentially if all those who are interested attend there will be six of us. (2 of our members have lolita friends that wish to attend as well.)

There haven't been any new comments to the older post in which we first discussed a meeting for 5 days. So I'm putting this up in hopes of getting our plans firmed up since I need to make sure I get time off from work (and I'm sure there are others in my position). <3 I don't want to sound like I'm trying to take over the event... but it's good to give people ample planning time by having a date set down well ahead of time.

THINGS THAT NEED TO BE CONFIRMED:

-Many of us said that the weekend of May 15th would be good. Is the actual date of Saturday, May 15th okay?

-A picnic was discussed... however Maine weather isn't always picnic friendly. Can we agree on a picnic and then bubble tea? With Plan B being just going to bubble tea if the weather is bad?

-If we do have a picnic food is involved. One member said she is willing to provide a quilt for sitting. And I would be willing to bring cupcakes and drinks, is anyone else able to volunteer their chef skills? Also if anyone has any special diet needs such as a food allergy or vegetarianism they should let us know. :)

-I am assuming that this will be a lunchtime event. So an arrival time between 12 and 3 should be agreed upon by the participants.


I think that's everything. Obviously if we get together and feel like doing something else after the picnic/bubble tea that can be discussed at the picnic or beforehand if anyone has an idea.
