Hey, so, here’s a bunch of alternative covers for the 3rd (and last) volume of “Les Songes du Roi Griffu”, the french fantasy comic series I’ve been drawing since 2020.

@zenorae worked on this last volume with me, and I couldn’t have asked for a better partner in this final stretch of the journey. We did illustrations n°3 and 4 the way we did the book : I did the thumbnails, she did the sketch and I did the inks.

So, I started rewatching Cowboy Bebop from the start for the third(?) time (I love it but I keep giving up halfway through, somehow…) and I might have a heavy case of the brainworms.

You can see my accomplices’ names on these ones, Cyrielle Blaire (who wrote the story, so it’s more like we are her accomplices in this situation) and Drac (who bravely accepted to team up with me on the colors).

Ayyyy, sooo, I know I’ve mentioned it several times already, but I’ve been working on that series of comics called “Les Songes du Roi Griffu” for french publisher Delcourt since 2020 ; the first volume came out in 2022, and here are the propositions I sent for the cover (n°2 is the one that got picked in the end).

(Working in comics has definitely been… an experience, let’s say - both overwhelming and underwhelming in several ways. But eh, it’s fine.)
