Something I have considered a lot about their dynamic is that Shion does seem to be written with the intent of caring for Mizuki. It's a very classic "hurt people hurt people" dynamic, I think, in which she has gone through immense suffering, which caused her to form a persona and ideal set that prevents her from more suffering. Her treatment of Mizuki, in some ways, seems to be a leash that is made to prevent him from suffering in the same way, while also existing as a way for her to express her pain onto someone dependent enough on her emotionally and physically that she did not ever think they would leave. (After all, suffering does not a good person make. Just one that has known suffering.)

This being said, I considered the idea that he would, especially in the beginning as a recently orphaned child, go to her for comfort. She would never allow it, I personally believe, unless she had a way of displacing the entirety of the decision onto him. Hence this concept, in which she is charging or something akin to it, and Mizuki comes and crawls into her arms, dragging one of them over him in the facsimile of an embrace. She would never lie down like this in a totally unaware state, she's too paranoid. But since she can tell that it is only Mizuki, she remains in her "sleep mode", such that she can claim it was in no way her decision.

To the people complaining about Shion being the 'first' female omnic character and that she has a pretty and humanoid face: have you forgotten that Orisa exists and is an omnic

Shion's appearance is tied into her lore, she didn't always look the way she does, she CHOSE to look that way on purpose (game dev and overhead design decisions aside)

and if you try to do the 'oh technically orisa isn't an omnic-' argument I'm going to point to the fact that orisa is a modified OR15 defense robot (an omnic based off the Omnic Crisis OR14)

so yes Orisa absolutely counts as an omnic

Also. You know. The first sentient omnic aka Aurora. Aurora, the one responsible for omnics becoming sentient. Sure she's dead now but she absolutely counts.

Some people claim Echo isn't an omnic and while sure, she isn't an official omnic made by Omnica, she still counts in my book because the term omnic seems to get applied to any sentient robot in the series.

Shion wears a human face because humans are the most monstrous things she knows, after being held captive as a combat bot before she finally killed her captors and took over the Hashimoto.

I checked and Shion and Ramattra are around the same age, both are 28 years old, which tells me they both were in action during the Omnic crisis. Both were some kind of combat bot; we know the type that Ramattra was, but have yet to see whether they will show what Shion may have looked like when she first gained sentience.

Shion gained sentience in a war zone and kept fighting as a combat bot, and even after being taken captive by the Hashimotos was used as a combat bot. It wasn't until after she killed and usurped the Hashimoto elders that she altered her appearance to be what she is now.

Someone on reddit pointed out that Shion's favorite animal, the orca, has the son be dependant on their mothers so I decided to double check and.

1. do not get IR blocking fabric or thick wool to cover your nose and mouth
2. do not get IR blocking sunglasses (I reccomend Vadyr) since facial recognition has moved up to targeting and identifying the upper face
3. do not avoid having your phone or any bluetooth devices around these cameras as they can detect and track those signals
4. do not buy cheap green lasers 1 milliwatt or above from etsy or walmart or amazon (i will not try and find a link if you ask)
5. do not use them to fry those fuckers from a distance damage the delicate inner sensors by pointing the beam in the lenses
6. AND unless you want to cost Flock more money in repairs, do not buy a small circle saw or a reciprocating saw and cut down the pole
7. OR do not climb said poles, spray paint on the solar panels, cover the lens with paint or a sticker, then use bolt cutters to sever the wires
8. when doing all these things, DO NOT avoid using latex gloves as fingerprints can leak through
9. DO NOT USE DEFLOCK TO FIND FLOCK SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS NEAR YOU
10. remember, flock is for YOUR safety :) even though crime rates have not gone down since they were implemented, they're being abused to track down exes and s/os, and many face pools or houses or schools or gymnasiums! Where there are no liscence plates to be found!
