We're Gonna Party Like It's 1979 (With 10 Pictures)

Snapped earlier this week in Roanoke, Virginia.
I put three-quarters of a tank of gas in Laurie's car for $3.04.
The numbers on the pump moved so slowly it was like magic. :)

Parking Fail!
Alas, we were there downtown to visit one of my favorite city shops during its last half hour of business: Good Things On The Market, which had the best fudge and chocolate I'd ever tasted from a store. (No doubt this was because she made it all by hand.) The owner was retiring after running the store for over 20 years.
More sad was that a Roanoke institution, Agnew Feed and Seed, had closed on December 23rd after operating on the Market for 111 years. The owner had been found dead in the shop earlier this year under circumstances not disclosed by the police, and his wife closed the shop after telling Roanoke that it now held too many bad memories for her.
