I've frequently not-been on boats.

No, no... What you've been is "not on boats".

That single word gives out almost entirely the wrong impression of me. I am twenty-five and skyrocketing towards thirty with a terrifying sense of inevitability, and the silvery-grey hairs are in place to prove it. I'm female, and from the north-east of England, but having studied down south I have an accent which sounds strange to both northerners and southerners alike. I live in County Durham, near enough to the sea to hear it on quiet nights but not near enough to regularly encounter seaweed. I have a degree in history which comes in particularly useful in my position as receptionist in a GP surgery. I have a penchant for writing on my hand to remember things. This system is not foolproof.

I am a devout and devoted slasher. I'd no longer class myself as being particularly active in fandom, but I don't enjoy this situation and am hesitantly wondering how to work past my inherent shyness and change matters. I've written fic in a few different fandoms, and it can all be found under the following links: Green Day, Blink 182, Busted, The Daily Show, Neil Gaiman, Top Gear, Good Omens, Life On Mars, Doctor Who, Flight of the Conchords, Star Trek, Sherlock Holmes, X-Men: First Class. All are under a friendslock, but just give me a shout and I'll get you added, should you care to have a read. Belated Edits Are Belated: I now have an AO3 account, where you can read almost all of the above without having to be my friend. Go nuts, if that's better for you!

The interests ought to give you an idea of what I'm into, but here's a quick run-down: music with guitars or cheesy pop, British humour, comedy in general, satire and mockery, science fiction, fantasy, pretty men and attractive ladies. Oh, and something else:

Posting is...sporadic, at the moment, but I make efforts to reply to comments left by any and all, and am always up for a comment conversation. That not your style? I can also be found on Twitter, where comments from strangers bewilder yet flatter me. I've now also trundled over to Tumblr, where my minuscule attention span is actually a positive.

And finally, hello!
