My mother's house has stairs leading up to it. In the front yard, there are two Mesquite trees. One of the branches of one of the trees goes over the stairs. There is a crook in the branch.
I like to think that crook in the branch is from all my tall friends, and my family putting their hands on the branch in the same spot so we don't hit our heads on it. Everyone does it, and it is always just in that crook. I think of all the people that love me that have put their hands on that same exact spot, and when I put my hand there, I can feel their presences and know that I am loved by so many amazing, wonderful people, even the ones that have never touched that spot. My life has been truly blessed by the sheer amount of love I experience from everyone. I truly wish everyone were as lucky as I.

On the phone today, I decided what my coat of arms is, since I am Her Royal Highness, Queen Miss Eliza of Elizaland and Elizabethlandia. Yes, I rule two Queendoms, what of it? Anyway, any good Queen needs a coat of arms. Please deal with my severe lack of heraldic knowledge here.
I'm thinking a shield of violet with a green border, and then pink border around that. On this shield, there is a knitting needle and crochet hook, crossed. Below these, small, are three tea cups on saucers (one on top, two on bottom). A fancy tiara sits atop the shield (because tiaras are prettier than crowns) and a unicorn supports on the left (white, pink mane and tail) and a black kitty cat supports on the right (green eyes, just like Meph).

Going to the grocery store with Mama. It's like a scavenger hunt! If you're not familiar with HEB (and if you're not in Texas, why would you be?) they have these meal deals where if you buy w, you get x,y,z for free, as well as other deals like that, too. For instance, today we bought a 10 pack of batteries for $5.97 and got a $3 container of Poteet Strawberry ice cream for free! Also, we bought two packs of hot dogs and got a can of chili, a bag of shredded cheese, a 2 liter bottle of soda, and a bottle of ketchup for free! Bought a small pre-cooked brisket and got large smoked sausages for free! I love seeing the little yellow coupons and seeing what the bargains are. It's all about the little things in life, man.
